Thank you all for the reassuring words. Still scary to see bright red blood while pregnant. Hoping to be able to update y'all with good news tom. Maybe I'll even get to show off a pic of my lil Appleseed.
@libberluru and us southern ladies (even if I don't live there right now I still claim it) say y'all. I can't imagine not using y'all. "You guys" just takes too long to say.
@34blondie N has been sleeping on her tummy for a couple months now - as soon as she could roll over she did. It realllllly freaked me out at first but I've gotten used to it. You will too. They're strong enough now that it's not a problem!
My sister is 8 mos pregnant with twin girls and I can't wait to meet them. She also found out today that she passed a huge exam, and we are stayin with them this week, so hubby got a bottle of champagne and she had a glass. I might have had a glass, and then wanted a little more, and then a little more again, and then maybe some more sips from my hubby's glass. Can I just say I am so glad I'm not the pregnant one now?
I fell down the stairs when P was about 5 weeks old in the middle of the night. I held her tight and let my body take all the impact. I had some great bruises and I cried like a baby but P was just fine.
My kids eat around 9 and go to bed after.
Both kids sleep on their tummies all the time. I gave up on rolling them over, now I just check that their face is turned to the side.
PS I want to respond to posts but by the time I finish reading I can't tell if it's relevant anymore or what.
Ok I feel like I smell all the time since becoming a mom! Like my BO got worse! What's up with that?! (not to mention that I always have spit up, milk, pee, or poo on me too)
I did 80 minutes of work today. In medical transcription world that's like 4-5 hours depending on the file. All the while I'm taking care of the kids and cleaning the house. What was DH doing you ask? Video games. I want to smother him with a pillow tonight. Then he has the gall to complain that DS is crying and he has to be at work early! Eff you dude, I haven't had a break to relax at ALL today, and don't worry, I'll get DS too so you can happily snore away.
I called him a man child. Now we aren't speaking. Oh well. :-D
Eta DS started crying when h got done playing games at 1AM. I just finished working, and he wants to complain that he has to be up early. You chose to stay up with your sweet internet buddies. No sympathy here, guy.
Can someone please tell me what the fluck is up with these tommee tipee nipples?! Suddenly, they keep collapsing when Ben eats (more like get inverted I guess... Same thing? Idk). I'm on level 2 and have tried level 3 but he practically drowns under those. It makes for a very frustrating MOTN feeding when I have to pull the nipple out every 5 seconds. We've been using them since he was like a month old! WTF?!!!
@FunkyPhoenix Those were our favorite bottles at the beginning. Then around 2-3 months, they started inverting like that. So annoying. We would get frustrated and M would be frustrated, so we finally said forget it and switched to Avent. Sorry, no advice, but I know what you're talking about and it's super annoying!
Yeah he gets pissed about it bc he is starving and having to deal with the whole process. I think we may change as well. Good to know I'm not alone! Or crazy.
JFC I sent Bradley in to hang with Ty who just woke up (because B has been up since 6 telling me Santa rides in a helicopter with grandpa Leo...) and he climbed into the crib and landed ON TOP of Ty. Kid didn't even flinch!!
I've been up since 3 am and can't go back to sleep... It is now 6 am... All this complaining I've been doing about not sleeping and now that my kid is sleeping better (only 1 wake up per night for 3 days now!) my body clock won't allow me more than 3-4 hours of sleep. Joy.
Oh and I'm really dreading an out of town trip to the in-laws this wknd bc I'm afraid it's going to eff up Ben's (hopefully) new sleep schedule. I think this should be a legitimate excuse not to go. After 6 months of constant wake-ups, I vote that there should be fully excused absences from overnight stays until the child is STTN consistently. I'm only half joking.
@FunkyPhoenix I'm worried about the holidays for that reason myself and she's been sleeping great for a couple of weeks now. We are leaving soon and if it messes up her sleep schedule, I am going to cry.
Chloe exempted her final exams this week bc she's a rock star (I'm the braggart) and doesn't have to go to school. But I have 8273949202827282 things to do and I need her at school. We have court today [-O< and I have a few more gifts to purchase. So now I have to pay a sitter when she could be at school for free. Damn it.
@FunkyPhoenix I was really worried about that too. We are already out of town now and N has been sleeping fine. The first night I had to comfort her a bit since she was in a new place but she got used to it pretty quickly!
I'm rarely in town to go to the office but am this week. I decide to take N today to show her off so I want to wake up early. My alarm didn't go off and N slept late and I woke up in a panic. I blame the champagne last night. But it was kinda nice getting more sleep even though I'm gonna be late to work!
Crap. Suddenly LO hates the vacuum sound. That was the one chore I could easily do with him in his jumper because the sound used to sooth him. Now my house is going to look even shittier.
I've decided I'm not doing any work today. I am working from home and we are like 1 day away from finishing a project that isn't due until January 6 because our new PM (thank DOG not my boss, just working with her on this project) is bat shit cray. She won't listen to me, so I am rebelling and not doing anything but wait for the UPS man to deliver me a package (giggidy)
@chicagochic82 MY WINE OF THE MONTH!!! Since this is my second boy I felt crazy asking for stuff so my bffl got all my girlfriends together and each month one of them sends me a bottle of wine or two the past few months have included gifts for Ty too...seriously the best baby shower gift ever
I love how my DH made comments last night about how the house should be more clean, and yet he throws his sh*t all over the house, puts nothing in its place, and hasn't done an ounce of housework since LO was born. WTAF???!!!
Yes I yelled at him last night, and yes, I'm still mad about it this morning. He claims he isn't directing his comments at me, but I'm all like "you sure as hell aren't doing it, so who are they directed at??? Our child? The maid that we don't have?"

This conversation happens in our house like once a week.
Right??? And guess who's shoes and socks and dirty coffee cup/plate I picked up out of the GD living room this morning??? To say I'm over it doesn't scratch the surface.
Can I brag a little bit? We did only one MOTN feeding last night and soothed B through the other 3 wake ups. I have been so nervous about my diminishing supply but I pumped 8 oz this morning! I'm hoping we can transition to more feeding during the day and less at night. Yay!!!!!!

Vent over.
Apparently both of our H's rode the train to douche town last night. I'm still mad at mine too.
@jancandance that's what you get for having a smart kid! Also, GL today! I'll be thinking of you!
I can't remember who mentioned the Elmo bath books at target but thank you! I've been looking for bath books for weeks. So excited to put them in their stockings!
I'm on page 22-23 right now and everyone is talking about wanting to meet with people in their area. I know I'm not a regular regular. Honestly, only on when I have time at work. But I'd love to chat with any June 13 Cincinnati area moms in hopes of maybe having a play date? I'm so on the hunt for LO's for Abigail to hang out with, play with, or just learn from. Let me know if anyone is from around my area and would like to get to know each other so that we could maybe meet up.
(I feel like I'm on eharmony or something picketing for myself to be selected so I can go on a date).
Seriously though, would love to get to know any Cincinnati mommies!
Re: The thread of all threads!
I'm now five episodes into the first season of Scandal and so far Huck is my favorite, hands down.
