I judge people who take their babies and young kids out late at night. Every time I am out alone or with DH, I see people who have their kids out way past bedtime. Of course, I don't know the details, but shouldn't all kids be in bed at a reasonable time? Especially on a school night? Mine would fall out in the floor if I had them out past 8pm. I particularly judge those who take their kids out shopping on black Friday. I choose to go out in the chaos, but I'm sure your two year old would prefer to be at home and in bed.
The thing is - you don't know what people's bedtime is at their home??? So, like you said, you don't know the details. Maybe my kid wants to be with me.
This. We do not work traditional schedules. We get off at 7pm so if we decide to go to dinner it could be almost 9pm, DD goes to bed around 1030pm, we don't have to wake up until 9am to work and DC. So she gets plenty of sleep.
DS is on that same sleep schedule. I work 12 hours, but I don't get home until about 11:30 pm, so he's already in bed when I get home.
