Re: TTGP IF CHECK IN

  • How long have you been trying to conceive? 2 years

Do you have a diagnosis? If so; what is it? Nope

Are you currently doing any testing or treatment? Going to see my RE tomorrow. Nervous as Hell!!

Any updates? Cd1 is today, I had a 28 day cycle. It just amazes me that I'm that my periods are that damn predictable even after a mc, I don't venture off my 28 day cycle.

QOTW: Are you the kind of person who wants to be the big fish in a little pond or the little fish in the big pond?
Definitely little fish in a big pond, I don't like attention drawn to me.
    Fucking bump!!!!

I'm on my 3rd day of Clomid. I go back on Friday to see what's going on in there & hopefully get an ETA for when we're going to do our IUI. After seeing so many people not respond/over respond, I'm just hoping for that part to go smoothly for now.

QOTW: Depends on the situation. At work, I like to be the big fish. Pretty much every other area of life, small fish.

Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.
~There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world~
    New RE June 2014. RPL b/w - negative. SIS looking for uterine/cervical abnormalities & Asherman's 6/10/14 - ALL CLEAR!
    Cycle 16: Natural IUI = CP, Cycle 17: Femara (2.5) + IUI = BFN, Cycle 18 Femara (5) + IUI = BFFN, Cycle 19: Break
Cycle 20: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP EDD 6/20, transvaginal cerclage 12/19, Carson Quinn born sleeping at 16w3d on 1/6/15 due to IC
Phone consult with Dr. Haney (Univ of Chicago) for transabdominal cercalge scheduled for 2/9/15.

    @Jaytee16 I'm so sorry about your cycle! I was really hoping your body would cooperate a little bit. FX that you can hold off on O until YH gets home. {{{Hugs!}}}

  • How long have you been TTC? 15 months
    Diagnosis: pcos
Treatments/tests: right now we are trying to do femara cycles.
Updates: went to my RE on Wednesday. My cyst went from 4cm to 1.6 with the birth control. They want me to come back on on CD3 to see if there is anymore progress. I am trying really hard not to think about but this wait is well it's something!
QTOW: I think I would like to be the little fish in a big pond. More space to spread out and explore!

    TTC #1 since August 2012

    BFP 7/5/13 ~EDD 3/17/14 - MC 7/22/13

DX PCOS 9/17/13 - Cyst on left ovary benched on BCP

11/19/13 Large cyst on right ovary. Benched again.

12/18/13 2 cm cyst still on my right ovary. Back to BCP.

    1/10/14 start femara 5mg for 10 days

Updates: Not much, 9dpo. Had a temp spike this morning but a bfn. I'm insanely nauseas though so I'll retest in the next few days.

QOTW: I'm actually in between. Though it depends largely on the situation. If I'm comfortable, def big fish.

    Fingers crossed for you Gonz!

  • Another failed cycle. They're upping Clomid to 100mg. I don't know that I can take much more of the Clomid, I've been getting irrationally sad and crazy emotional.

QOTW: a medium fish in a medium pond. I like to be recognized once in a while, but be one of the other fishes more often.

    Dx: Endometriosis (2010), PCOS (2013)

  • How long have you been trying to conceive?  A year and ten months NP, but only recently have we really focused on why it hasn't happened and what is going on.

Do you have a diagnosis? If so; what is it?  No

Are you currently doing any testing or treatment? No, we have our first appointment with an RE on 12/30 (I think somewhere else I mistakenly said 12/20, but it's 12/30).  I'm very nervous, my GYN swears up and down that "nothing's wrong" but wth does he know - I've had a couple of smaller cysts (two) in the past, but was never told that this was directly an issue.

Any updates? Hoping to see a temp rise later this week, hoping and praying - my first cycle charting.

QOTW: Are you the kind of person who wants to be the big fish in a little pond or the little fish in the big pond?   Little fish in the big pond.

  • How long have you been trying to conceive? 22 Months

Do you have a diagnosis? If so; what is it?  Male Factor Infertility

Are you currently doing any testing or treatment? Not yet, we will see the RE in March if our natural plan doesn't work out.

Any updates? Last week was not so fun. I had a huge breakdown and SO got the majority of it. I told him I am tired of doing this alone and holding the weight of infertility on my shoulders alone. I explained that if I was the problem I would do anything and everything in my power to fix the problem. Trying to have a family is a deal breaker for me and he is going to have to step up and play a more active roll in this whole thing.

For me that was huge. I am a people pleaser and never want to say anything to make someone I love feel uncomfortable or pressured. However, I have realized through this struggle I put others needs ahead of my own far to often and make myself misrable in the process.

I think we are getting back to a good place now and he understands where I am at with the baby and the relationship.

I am going to go back to temping and OPKs for the next few months and he is going to take some vitamins recommended by the urologist. If we are not successful by March we are going to visit the one and only RE in the area. He has some mixed reviews, so we will see.

QOTW Are you the kind of person who wants to be the big fish in a little pond or the little fish in the big pond?

I like to make myself known but I also enjoy observing others. So I guess it really depends on the situation.

I have two ponds though if that matters...........

Good luck @pintobean39! The first appointment is really intimidating. Since tomorrow is CD2 for you, I'd go in prepared for them to do b/w & u/s. If they want to do testing this cycle, they may just do it tomorrow instead of having you come back on Wednesday.

    @Jaytee16 I'm so sorry about your cycle! I was really hoping your body would cooperate a little bit. FX that you can hold off on O until YH gets home. {{{Hugs!}}}
Stupid question but why would they have to do an us this early? I'm going to be bleeding like a stuck pig by tomorrow I don't want to have to take my pants off. Lol

It's a new patient appt, I have no clue what to expect. I need to learn more about all this stuff. I read everyone's post and it's all Greek to me.

    Fucking bump!!!!
  • I'm thinking of you girls! FX and hugs all around :)

AFM - Complete break this cycle. It's refreshing. We'll be back at it after the holidays :)

QOTD - Can I say a big fish in a big pond? I've always been overly ambitious.

I don't know if they'll do it or not, but I'd go in prepared for it. They may want to wait for testing, I dunno. They always(for testing & treatment cycles) do an ultrasound at or around CD3 for a baseline. The first one while you're bleeding is a bit awkward, but you get used to it. They do it all the time, so it doesn't even phase them.

  • @MeatandBandP - sorry about IUI#1, I am really hoping that you'll respond well to the Femara and have a good cycle - I'm rooting for you!!  <3 you!
@FoxiePM - I'm glad you were able to talk to your H.  Hugs and good luck this cycle!!
@PintoBean39 - FWIW, I had a tv u/s and b/w my initial visit with the RE as part of our preliminary testing.  Also, on medicated cycles you should be getting both of those on CD3.  It's not fun, but you may as well get used to it now.  Hell, just through all modesty and humility out the window!  Good luck!
@tigger99 - I'm excited for your penguin's return!!!  I will be stalking, but that shouldn't surprise you ;)  GL!!!!

    Big Hugs to you ladies!

AFM: Not doing anything special, starting to focus on trying to get back to the gym, work off some of this fat. After 3 yrs now, it seems silly to keep hoping for the best since it always seems to end in dissapointment.

CD80 - Im just mad at everything though.

Excuse while I stuff my fat face with Jelly Bellies.

QOTW: I usually keep to myself and keep my circle of friends very very small. So I like being the little fish, of course unless it has to do with my singing then I am definitley an AW. :-)

Nothing new for me. We had our IVF consult last week and it went well. If I'm not pregnant by the end of next month, I'll start BCPs to prep for IVF. Right now I'm 4 dpo and just trying to forget everything and enjoy the holidays as much as possible.

QOTW: I guess big fish usually, but sometimes I'm lazy and it's nice to sit back and be a little fish.

It was pretty devastating, especially when my best friend felt that it was suddenly the time to tell me she was 9 weeks pregnant. *sigh* I'm trying to make the most out of being on the bench - had some caffeine, and a margarita and even cheated on my wheaten/gluten free diet a little bit! :)

QOTW - I like to be in the middle...I like being recognized, but I definitely don't want to be the center of attention all the time.

  • @tippytoes06 Sorry to hear that you are out this cycle :( How did your friend tell you, I'm curious. I can never decide I prefer people to just be blunt with me, or tip toe around it/walk on egg shells a la my sister last year.

She told me through a text message and just came out with it that she was 9 weeks pregnant. At first I was furious that she told me via text, but it was nice to be able to breakdown without her sitting right there. I'm still upset that she waited so long to tell me and to tell me 2 days after we got the news that we were benched because there were plenty of other opportunities to tell me. But I'm trying to forgive and move on. I am happy for her, but super sad for us.

  • @tippytoes06 Well that could have been handled differently but you're right, silver lining is being able to feel your full range of emotion without having to do it with her right there or hold it in because of her - I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I hope you get to enjoy a few more margaritas before your re-eval.

  • We have been trying since July 2012.  Last week I had my CD3 bw and u/s.  U/S confirms 27 follicles on the right ovary, 30 on the left, which the doctor said was consistent with PCOS, but he would let my RE confirm that after looking into my bw.  They said it could take 7-10 business days to get results from one of my tests, so I'm going to schedule an appointment for the beginning of the year to go over the results.  Since both my RE and I are pretty sure it's PCOS, I've looked into changing my diet.  I've lost a few pounds by dropping my carbs significantly.

QOTWMedium fish?  I like being recognized, but I dislike too much attention.

Hugs to all those in need!

    Hi lovely ladies

BFN at 12 and 14 dpo (today) for iui #2.  I had mild cramping the past few mornings which usually means AF is near.  I expect a visit Tuesday or Wed.

We leave for Barbados on Friday for Christmas and our 15 year anniversary and I will be having many drinks while away. ;)  We will be going back to the RE in the middle/end of January for iui #3 if needed.  I don't want to be cray cray from clomid on vacation, so we are just going to do opks and TI this cycle.

Happy Holidays to everyone and big hugs to all who need them.  I really hope we all get out BFP's real soon.  <3

Updates: AF arrived at 12dpo while celebrating my birthday last weekend - I was completely unprepared, since every cycle has been 15-16dpo.  It was the first period with no cramps, which is very odd, but it's over and we're now done with all fertility treatments unless we move or it becomes better covered under our insurance.

I'm not sure what category I fall under now.  We're not preventing, but since I've ovulated once on my own since starting trying 29 months ago, so the chance of us getting pregnant alone is almost zero.  I only had a few periods in my lifetime before TTC, so this is a long-term issue that will most likely not fix itself.  We're not technically 'trying', since you have to ovulate to 'try', but we'll continue to have regular sex and hope for the best.

I *think* I am now CFNBC (child-free not by choice), but I'm not sure if I actually am since we're not 'officially' preventing.  I don't know.  ::shrugs::  I'm not going anywhere, though, because I would miss you all too much!

QOTW: Are you the kind of person who wants to be the big fish in a little pond or the little fish in the big pond?

It really depends - sometimes I want to be the big fish and other times I'd rather blend in and not have attention on me.  It really depends on the situation and my comfort level.  :P
    Big hugs to you!!!!

I've had two benched cyst cycles. It is very disappointing. How big was your cyst?

I think it was 36 or 37mm....She said cyst and I started crying and didn't catch much after that. I'm hoping one cycle of BCP will clear it up, but I'm still in a good amount of pain, so I'm not very optimistic. :( How large was yours?

Big hugs to @bbg676 and anyone else who needs them! @spookster for some reason my name isn't on the list anymore :-( Ok, I actually have something to update! I had my 1st RE appointment today! I really like the doctor and think he's just the guy for us. I had my first ever t/v ultrasound and it wasn't that bad. I did find out that I have a retroverted uterus, but everything else looked good so far. DH will have his SA done on Monday. According to FF, I should get my period on Christmas Eve (yippie) so I will go for cd3 b/w as soon as I can. I'm also to schedule a femvue(?) between cd6-10. I should have asked why he didn't want to schedule an hsg, not sure why I didn't. I am 7dpo today, so I still have a shred of hope for this cycle. QOTW: small fish in a big pond

I'm waiting to start IVF #2 in a couple weeks.

QOTW- I don't want to be any kind of fish. I want to be left the fuck alone. If I had a gagillion dollars, I'd live in a nice house in the middle of the woods- with no neighbors for 100 effing miles :) I'd do all my shopping online, which I pretty much do now anyway, and I'd give my mailman a nice Christmas card every year.

The first month I had a cyst birth control cleared it up really quick. I only had to do one month of bcp. I am currently benched again with a cyst but they shrink fast once the bcp kicks in fully! Good luck I hope it works!
