Re: TTGP IF CHECK IN

  • FX and hugs for everyone!! Hopefully there's some good news coming from our IF girls soon!

AFM, I went in Thursday for my CD3 appt and found out I have a huge cyst so we are benched this cycle and the RE put me on BCPs. It was pretty devastating, especially when my best friend felt that it was suddenly the time to tell me she was 9 weeks pregnant. *sigh* I'm trying to make the most out of being on the bench - had some caffeine, and a margarita and even cheated on my wheaten/gluten free diet a little bit! :)

QOTW - I like to be in the middle...I like being recognized, but I definitely don't want to be the center of attention all the time.

I've had two benched cyst cycles. It is very disappointing. How big was your cyst?

I think it was 36 or 37mm....She said cyst and I started crying and didn't catch much after that. I'm hoping one cycle of BCP will clear it up, but I'm still in a good amount of pain, so I'm not very optimistic. :( How large was yours?

The first month I had a cyst birth control cleared it up really quick. I only had to do one month of bcp. I am currently benched again with a cyst but they shrink fast once the bcp kicks in fully! Good luck I hope it works!

Thank you! I hope it works as well!! Good luck with yours too! It's never any fun being on the bench :(

  • I don't know if I should even post this here, but since I'm still on the list, I guess I should. I apologize if this is bad form as I haven't actively posted here in quite a while. We did an IUI on November 8th and got our first BFP on November 22nd. Our first u/s is today and we are so excited! Thanks to everyone on this board- you all taught me a lot and I would never have known to see a RE after 12 months of trying if it wasn't for you guys! Best of luck to everyone!

  • Hi ladies. (XP on SAIF)

I had an u/s this morning at CD12 (see siggy for meds). I have two 15mm follies on one side and a 12.5 on the other side. My RE immediately started talking about "getting a better response next cycle." To me, this seems premature- am I really "out" this cycle already?

I'm thinking that if the 15's grow 1-2mm per day, I could be ready to trigger with an 18mm follie by CD 14 or 15, which is still within the range of normal, right?

I can't do IUI any later than CD15, as we are going out of town the morning of CD16. So, I'm coming to terms with doing TI instead. But I still feel hopeful that I could grow a mature follie or two, then trigger on CD14 or 15, and then do TI.

Should I still hold out hope for this cycle?
