I like perusing these threads on other boards so I thought I'd try here. Any cringeworthy baby names popping up on your newsfeed lately?
I had a friend post her sister gave birth to a girl this week, and named her Austyn. Because the y makes it a girls name, OBVIOUSLY.
Also, someone decided to name their baby Brynlee, which is really cringeworthy to me. That sounds really made up and perpetually four years old. What's wrong with Brynn??
Re: Questionable Names from Facebook
Austyn and brynlee I'm not a big fan of tho.
Put DOWN the ticket stub and step away! The movies are not your own personal shopping mall for baby names!
The boy was going to be named Pickett, but they went with Steel last minute.
Little Man arrived 3/28/14 at 10:32pm
9 lb 1 oz & 21 3/4 inches
A customer came in and his LEGAL name is Big Bad D.
No freaking joke.
and he did not change it later in life... That was his given name from birth.
Are you for real!?! I didn't believe my boss at first but she knows the family personally and she said 100% that's his legal name.
Usually names that start with X are pronounced with a Z (think Xerox) so that'd be Zander and Zara. Mostly I don't like that combo because I'm not a fan of matchy names. On their own they wouldn't be terrible.
I've seen a few weird ones from
Substitute teaching too. "Justice" for a boy is a weird one.
Oh and a family member through marriage has a son named "Fox". Her other kids have weird names too but I can't remember them. I think the baby girls name is Annikan (Star Wars?)
I had brothers when I taught 7th & 8th grade, Trapper and Hunter.
A woman in my old office shared that her baby's name would be Manning (after the FB players) if he were a boy. Happily she had a girl, and went with Eden (NMS but far more reasonable).
Sir Anthony (sir was first name) as if that gains more respect??
I've seen several trappers, gunners, hunters, shooters..
Also a Kreek, Kaidynce and Adylynn
