How did you meet your DH?

DH and I met online and chatted for a few weeks before meeting in person.  That was 9 years ago.

    Drunk at a high school graduation party! We started dating the next year. LOL - we totally made out on the couch, tho.

    Some friends of mine were going to a strip club one night and I tagged along. Well, DH was there too. He pulled me up to the stage to tip a stripper and the rest is history! Our DD will never know where we met! lol

    drunk at a party in college, my 2nd night of my freshman year.  he's a year older.  we friends for a year before deciding we liked each other more than that :)

    we got married the october after i graduated.

    At the texas ren fest. He is a pro bagpiper and I was in mgmt. We were engaged 5 months later. And here were are....5 years later!

    At a bar. I was out w/ my friend (getting over a recent breakup) and she said "hey, my boss text me, he's up at McDuffy's w/ some of his buddies, let's go" so we left the block party we were at & went to the bar. He said hi & him & his buddies walked away. I called him a choice word behind his back & then he came back looking for me! Turned out his buddy knew the bartender upstairs & they went up for free drinks. We danced on a platform & exchanged #'s. We started talking a week later & the rest is history. We were engaged 14 mo. later & married 9 mo. after that.

    Geez, almost 9 years ago I met my DH at a boat club Regatta.My BFF was dating one of his coworkers. He chatted up another friend of mine all night, so I thought they were hooking up. Come to find out he was asking about me.Later, he was drunk and tried to ask me out. Now I think it was sweet he was so nervous, but then I thought he was a dork.

    So, I went out with one of the other guys he worked with, one time. Thank God he was really the dork. My DH and I started dating a couple weeks later and the rest is history.

    Ours is good!

    We met on an airplane to Peru and travelled together and hiked the Inca Trail together. We were just friends until the night before he was supposed to fly back to the states and I suddenly felt like my heart was being ripped outof my chest. So I went down the hall and knocked on the door to his hotel room and the rest is history! :)

    Facebook! 4 years ago he randomly "poked" me b/c he thought I was cute & looked like we had a lot in common (and I was listed as single). Somehow he talked me into meeting him for a date (it was so unlike me to meet someone in person that I'd met online, but we went to the same college, etc, so I trusted it) and 2 years later we were married!

    My best friend in college liked him.  I thought he was totally weird and NMS at all, not to mention I was not even considering anything with him b/c my best friend liked him.   BF and I had a falling out, and DH and I started hanging out.  He confessed that the only reason he hung out with my former BF in the first place was b/c he liked me.

    We worked at the same summer camp!  We later figured out that we had also been campers the same week one year.  He remembered the girl with the freckles :) Next summer will be 10 years.

    We started dating the summer before my senior year of high school, both went to Michigan State, and he finished up in 3 years so that we could get married sooner (he was 2 grades younger). And... we got pregnant 3 months later!

    His friends dared him when he was in class to fill out a profile.  He did; I was bored.  I sent a free icebreaker to him, and he sent one back.  Then... he didn't respond.  I spent $19.95 to email him back.  We spent 6 weeks emailing back and forth before we met.  We didn't even know what each other looked like at that point.  But, the rest is history!

    I officially met DH 6 years ago at a club meeting at the university we were attending during the spring of my sophomore year.  The funny thing is that he had actually installed the ethernet in my freshman year dorm room (he was worked for IT and the computer labs).  We got to know each other better that summer as he was the lab attendant in my summer dorm and I had to write papers constantly.  We started dating June 2003, got married April 2006, and now we have a brand new baby.  :)

    At Karaoke night at a local bar.  He was an aquaintance of the group of friends I was with.  We left the bar and went to another bar across the street because they had a wet t-shirt contest going on and the friend he was with was entering. (I thought they were dating) We chatted for the rest of the night and started dating about 2 weeks later.  We were engaged after 5 months and got married 2 years and 1 month after getting engaged.

    My freshmen year of High School.

    ?I thought DH was totally gorgeous and I went up to him and asked him if his name was Shaun, knowing it was Joel but I didn't want to think I asked about him already. ?I thought he would tell me I was wrong and what his name was and I would apologize for thinking he was someone else. ?NOPE! ?He said, "Yeah... yeah my name's Shaun." ?So I said, "yeah.... that's what I thought" and walked away, LOL. ?He totally lied.

    After that I told everyone I liked him and he finally asked me out on a date.

    I was pretty bold at 15.

    I met him at a brewery-sponsored pub crawl. ?He and a buddy were sitting at a table for 7 and I needed a place to sit b/c my feet hurt, so I walked right up and said "hey is anyone else sitting here? ?Mind if we join you? ?My shoes are pointy." ?They looked up like they couldn't believe a woman was talking to them, allowed us to join them, and the rest is history.

    We met at one of those 18+ clubs. His friend asked my friend to dance, so I asked him if he could dance. We danced/talked till the club closed, then he walked me to my car and asked for my number. He called me the next day and we talked for 3 hours. We've been together almost 9 years. We tell people we met at a "restaurant," because the club closed 7 years ago and is now a BBQ restaurant. Wink

    Freshman year of college.  His BFF was dating my BFF, and he liked me but I was wrapped up in someone else.  When me and that bum were finished DH and I finally hooked up at a frat party.  We made out the whole evening.  I was a slutty slutterson.  :-)  That was almost 9 years ago...
