    My sparklers currentley Mr. Grinch but not christmas season he goes by many names i have called him turd nuggets mcgoobbles when hes particularly "funny" ex, laughing giggling and wanting to play at two in the morning...

She had a side part, thick hair and a scowl and would move her arms around wildly. She was a miserable newborn/infant (very happy now,) and we used to call her Mein Fuhrer.

    This. is. HILARIOUS!!  DH and I both got a good laugh from it.  People always said I looked like Hitler in my newborn pics so I can relate :)

    Ladies, thank you for coming to my aid.....I could never imagine not having my LO....it was a very short, lack of sleep induced moment...I love my little bean...

    And as for calling her little shit...Its a term of endearment that DH and I use....we mean nothing negative, and would not say it to her...

    I hate being called "Hun." I think it's so condescending.

    My mom used to call me and my brother little shits when we were younger. She is bipolar and was verbally abusive towards us. I'll never say it to my child's face or even just to myself because I worry everyday that I might, just for one second, make her feel the way my mom always made me feel. I can see saying it to yourself if you don't have a background like mine; but, if you do, repeated thoughts can turn into actions and I never want to make my kid feel the way my mom mad us feel. Just my 2 cents.

    My toddler is going through a MAJOR pushing boundaries period. I asked him to use his fork at lunch today and he smiled very slyly, picked up the forked, held out his hand with it and said "no mommy, no fork" with a totally straight somewhat maniacal look on his face. And dropped the fucking fork.

    It took everything in my power to not say "OMG you little shit!!!!" Instead his ass went to time out.

    I love him but man he can be a turd.

    My parents tree has colored lights and it feels wonderfully homey to me. I got white ones years ago when I got my first tree with a roommate. We had hardly any personal ornaments so the tree was more stylized. Now as a family all of our ornaments have a story and are very varied so maybe next year we'll switch to colored lights. :)

    I'm still scared of what's in the dark. The power is out and I just made DH get up to make Lo a bottle and feed her because I'm too scared to. It's also colder than hell (that line makes no sense because hell is supposedly hot so of course it's colder than hell.) and we are having record low temperatures. I honestly jumped and panicked a bit when I woke up because none of the night lights were on and I thought I had been kidnapped. My mind is so irrational. Also, the power is not out because of the ice and snow storm. It is out because someone cut the power. My mind is paranoid haha...

    Right there with you. (Except for the blinky, DS1 one would go apeshit.) Nothing was cuter last than watching him name all the colored lights and saying "y-eye-yo" for "yellow."

    Guilty. @belhurstbride pics come to mind...her house looks beautiful. Also, I don't just checkout backgrounds for decorating ideas, I'm just strait nosey. I like seeing people's styles and tastes. Is that creepy?
    @lokilahve, I haven't been on since Thursday and am just seeing this but thank you! When we looked at the house I told the realtor I was ready to make an offer after seeing only 3 rooms. Hadn't seen half of the downstairs (including the kitchen) or any of the upstairs but I was already sold!
