  • I'm new to this board. I'm 40 and 8 weeks pregnant with my fourth. All were conceived without assisiatance and I had a miscarriage back in July. My boys are 16, 15 and 3. I am very worried about what people will say, especially at my work based on two things: my age and this being my 4th. Everyone else my age is on the next step in life, middle school or high school age children, they are back to going out etc. I am estactic about this baby, but I do hate being judged.

  • I am 44 and pregnant for the first time. My husband has 2 children from previous marriage who are 17 and 16 and we were not having children since he has always raised the boys as a single dad until we married three years ago. Went off the pill for a month between stopping and him being scheduled for v-sectomy and guess what, PREGNANT at 43, au naturale. So happy and thrilled for this miracle. At 37 weeks now, did all the genetic tests, all is well and awaiting our little Thanksgiving baby.I thought I was the oldest soon to be mom around, its nice to see others here!
  • New here.  I found out I am pregnant with our first just 2 weeks before my 40th birthday.  I am now almost 8 weeks and we haven't told anyone.  At 6 weeks, my doctor did an ultrasound and 48-hour hcg test. He was sure I would miscarry but at 7 weeks 4 days the ultrasound was normal and we heard the heartbeat. I am still terrified, especially since we have been living in a foreign country (S. Korea) and the language barrier is a problem with all the questions I have.  And on top of that, we are moving back to the States when I hit 12 weeks.  So much stress!
  • Congratulations and good luck with your move.  That sounds extremely stressful.

  • I'm 38 and close to 8 weeks along with my first baby we are so excited! Had a scare on Thanksgiving with some bleeding that led us to the ER but baby is fine and hanging strong! On pelvic rest now so just taking it easy. Glad there's a board I can relate to with women my age so nice to meet you all!

  • I'm 43 although I will quite happily claim to be 37. I'm 7 weeks with #3, with a daughter who will be 21 when this one arrives and a son who will be 16. It's my husbands first so he's thrilled.

  • I'm 47 today and FTM it's been a long journey after medical issues made us late starters and several losses along the way.
I'm 18 weeks and all going well to date. Both me and my husband are same age and FTPs
    We are delighted and excited.
  • 44 here as well. Due August 8th. Unprotected sex one time, Yes once and bam. My baby is 16! So yes, starting over again. Saw the baby heartbeat last week, brought a little bit of reassurance :)
  • Congratulations! I'm 43 years old & 34 weeks pg with our 2nd child. I was a few weeks shy of 41 when we had our DS. :)
  • Congrats everyone, I love hearing all the 40 plus pregnancy stories. I just turned 40 and am 5 weeks pregnant. Hoping all continues well.
  • Hi! We have a crazy spread. My husband has a son from his first marriage who is 27, I have two daughters from my first marriage who are 17 and 14, and now, at 43, I'm expecting another. It IS nice to see so many others in here at this age. I felt crazy, too. I have all sorts of neurotic concerns about whether I can handle this and all, and now I'm a working mom when with  my girls I got to stay  home with them for a significant part of their baby/toddler hood. Thanks for connecting!
  • Congrats to all! I'm 40 & am 12-weeks along with our first. We've been trying for over 4 years & had 5 losses along the way. We are SO happy to have made it to this point, including a 1st tri NT scan that had nothing but good news. Best wishes to all! Loving the success stories!
