I'm not sure if this is the same thing because I didn't read the thread, but from the above comments it seems like it- blanket training and such (like the Duggar's use). I just left a group on FB with "conservative AP moms" (which I was added into by a friend) that were OK with the Pearl's discipline approach "for Christians".

They were also in agreement that porn is cheating on your spouse. I just couldn't anymore...

What if you watch porn with your spouse? Is it still considered cheating? Because I, errm, I mean, my friend, alongside her husband, haven't been faithful for years if that's the case lol

Wow I got to page 7 and my brain can't take anymore. I thought the church I grew up in was strict but this is crazy. I was a very picky eater as a kid, my grandma had to do a separate plate for me vs. what the rest of the family was eating. Turns out a lot of the food I was refusing I was actually allergic to. I hope this is not the case with this lady's kids.

Spanking for putting a hand in poop/ Vaseline is insane!!!! I'm a FTM but did enough diaper changes as a sitter to pay for college. I just keep things out of baby's reach. They're curious not intentionally disobedient.

Then trying to justify it all with Scripture and church practice. That is one church I hope to never see the inside of.

Sorry, @pennstated912, I was reading that 13 paged mess....

I was wondering the same as you. DH and I watched together before, he watches alone (and says any man that tells you no is a liar) and I've watched alone as well. I don't know what they were quoting- it was either a blog (That Matt Kane guy, maybe?) or another FB group that was AP as well, but I was skimming the thread. When I read that I basically flipped out and hit leave group because I can't deal with that type of crazy. There were like 10 women involved in that discussion though (and group was only 55 people at the time).
