Let's say, hypothetically, that your BMB has been scandalized by an ignorant troll with a bizarre fascination with negative attention.  Perhaps you no longer want to be troubled by such nonsense.  Please note that any persons in this post, real or fictional, are merely used as examples of how the technical process works.

Step 1: Click on the offender's name next to a post


Step 2: Click the shiny blue IGNORE button


Step 3: Accept, acknowledge, and move on

@IBackBevo -- Probably, but she won't be able to hide her crazy. Beyond the obvious/disturbing, has anyone ever heard of some saying they are against baby proofing? I can't imagine her being inconspicuous spouting insane opinions like that.

Ok so this is a legit question. How does someone get banned? Are there actual moderators reviewing these threads? Do they ever post? Do you have to be flagged a certain number of times or something? Anyone know?

Also, spending all that time and energy antagonizing a bunch of strangers who want nothing to do with you when you have 3 kids under 4 at home? I would be surprised if at least one hasn't been electrocuted by now. I guess maybe we'll hear through Facebook.

@Katemr1146 -- I think it's a bannable offense to repeatedly abuse the abuse button. Beyond that, and especially because the post was spread all over the site, I wouldn't be surprised if they banned her because she was basically admitting to abusive behavior.

That, and admitting that she has no intention of changing or being at all receptive to any of the advice given here (including making her FB profile private), and continuing to be obnoxious in other threads. That's my guess.

That all I get. Obviously all ban-able offenses. I just mean, there must be bump employees reading through each and every post to find this stuff, right? Or does someone have to call/complain to bump staff. I'm just thinking logistics here.

Hahahahah! I read everything in that thread just because it was so entertaining. Her poor kids though! I can't believe she didn't just leave TB in the first place. Did she honestly think she would ever give/receive advice to anyone here after all that? I would never in my life ask her for her opinion.

Now that she is gone, I just want to say that it really saddens me that SHE is now the perception that many have of Christianity and the teachings of The Bible. Her beliefs are not the beliefs of mainstream Christianity. I feel like she is to most Christians what the Muslim extremists like Osama Bin Laden are to most Muslims. She distorts the word of God for her own benefit and to further her own agenda. It truly is sad...sad not just for her children, but sad that she now has just enforced pretty much every negative stereotype out there about Christians and showed NONE of what I have been taught is true Christianity...faith, hope and love. Honestly, she reminds me of one of my husband's friends who started going to some fundamentalist "Westboro Baptist" type church. When I was 8 months pregnant and on bedrest with pre-e (and high BP), I posted a link to a Christian blog from a Mom who wrote a letter to her gay son accepting him coming out of the closet and saying she loved him and would accept everything about him and any relationship he had, etc...it was a tear jerker. He posted on my facebook profile telling me I was going to hell for my views on gay marriage. Nice. Real nice, Christian thing to say to a woman with high BP on bedrest. Way to spread the love of Christ. At any rate, that is how I feel about her...nothing in her posts were "Christ-like" but just spewed venom and hate and ridiculous justifications for bad behavior.

I only saw one response that painted with that broad brush. I'll keep saying it, but us non-Christians get that the crazies are not representative of the whole. I feel like people should give us a little more credit.
