Nay for now; this (quoted) 3rd trimester. I think. Though really even then I may be too chicken (fear of guilt if something goes wrong even if it really couldn't be related) or DH may object too much so then either way it wouldn't be worth it. Even though plenty of people in other countries drink lightly (as in 1/2 glass or glass of wine) while PG just fine.

I yay'd and had a small glass of grenache noir with Thanksgiving dinner. Took me an hour to finish it. And a few hours later I had a taste of the port I bought over the summer. Both were so delicious.

I've had a couple sips so far and mm mmmm...it's totally unfair that red wine smells so gosh darned amazing while pregnant, but I totally plan to have a tiny glass at one or two Christmas parties now that I'm 18 weeks. Everything in moderation.
Nay for me, only because I didn't drink wine regularly before either. On occasion, though, I don't see it as a big deal. My doctor has said that a glass here and there is fine. I plan to have some at Christmas because my parents always break out the really good Hungarian wine for the holidays. Other than that, I don't miss it.
Yay in moderation (2-4 ounces per week). My doc said the occasional glass is fine and the organization that really pushes the medical world to advise against is MADD (biased much?) Also, if you haven't already, read Expecting Better by Emily Oster. She covers off taboo topics such as these in statistical and factual terms so the reader can decide based on the evidence, not because of an unsupported "belief" or societal stigma. I found it especially interesting that low to moderate wine consumption during pregnancy is correlated to higher IQ in children over a long term period. Cheers!
I would not have more than a sip. I just can't. I've been getting my wine club shipments still and it makes me sad but the thought of actually drinking a glass is just too weird. I have been having sips of hubby's beer but beer is way less alcohol than wine so i guess i feel less strange about it. but to each their own.
