So I'm usually not a wine fan (more of a beer fan), but all the talk on here makes me want a glass. What is your favorite? What do you recommend for a beginner?
I would recommend, but I doubt any of our wine is available outside of Canada. We have some stunning wineries in the deserty areas of British Columbia.
When i first started wine, i would drink beringer white zinfadel - sweet and crisp, or lambrusco for $5/gallon (college days). Now adays, my palette prefers a dry, busty cab from sonoma or napa.

I used to prefer whites over red. I loved a good Pinot Grigio. It was my first introduction to wine. Santa Margherita was my favorite. And then I ventured over to something sweeter. I was obsessed with Relax Riesling for the longest. Polka Dot Riesling is great too. Then I even went sweeter and started loving on Moscato. My absolute fave is Barefoot Moscato. Can't beat $4.99 a bottle for something so delicious.
I then started dabbling with the Barefoot Reds and haven't turned back since. I prefer reds now, although I still drink Moscato occasionally. I love the Barefoot Merlot and Cabernet. Also $4.99 a bottle.
Thank you everyone, I have a good place to start. I think I'll buy a bottle to take to the ILs tomorrow for our Thanksgiving, I haven't had a buzz in a LONG time. I think DH will be happy, that usually means he'll get a some.
