No, because my job is seasonal one. I am just trying to get some extra money before I stop working. Our plan is for me to stop working after the new year. DH has a job interview tomorrow night and we are hoping they offer him more an hour than he is already making. He has another job offer making $2 more per hour. I am just praying this all works out.

Depending on how much daycare will cost us will depend on if I go back or Sah. I'm hoping they will pay me to come back so I don't even have to worry about it!
I'm staying! I LOVE my job! I've been with this Firm since the Las Vegas office opened and I have always considered it my first "baby." The San Diego/main office is very supportive of my pregnancy and are letting me work remotely as long as necessary.
Wow, I am surprised how many people are leaving/want to leave their jobs!
I am definitely staying. I get 20 weeks full pay and I know I will be ready to get back. I went to school for way too long to give up my job! I have been there 7.5 years and I feel really lucky to have it. They are so flexible and I will probably telecommute 1 day a week. After 2 I might go part-time, but I hope to have this job for the rest of my working days!

Staying in my job! Absolutely! There was never a question.
Mine is a career that I knew I wanted to be in since eighth grade, that I prepared for carefully, that I have a Master's degree in, that I love (well, not the urology part . . . hoping that will change) and that brings in over twice what MH is making now.
So I'm staying put, and MH is staying home with LO and hoping to be able to work from home at least part-time. Even part-time it's possible he can bring in the same as he was before, because he is WICKED underpaid for his skill right now.
I'm not sure yet. We are having trouble finding daycare for 2 for less than I bring home in a month (I teach) and I'd love to SAH for a while. But I carry our health insurance and getting it through DH's job isn't an option, so we are exploring other options for insurance before deciding. I can take a year off and still be guaranteed a job, so we are thinking of starting there if we can find insurance.

I am 100% not going back to my current job. I've worked there for 10 years so it will be strange to leave but DH and I feel it's the best decision. I have a two hour commute each day and daycare is so expensive! We are very fortunate that DH can easily pay all of the household bills on his income so it is silly for me to go back to work just for my paycheck to end up paying for daycare. Plus DH is a computer nerd and he figured out how to make money playing games on our iPad/iPhone so he said I can just take over that little side gig and make enough for doing that to still buy groceries and baby necessities each month. If I can manage to find something decent which is both part time and close to home, I'd probably do that but I won't hold my breath! Looks like I will be a SAHM for the foreseeable future.
I just started a new job today (not by choice). I don't qualify for maternity leave, but they are honoring what my old company had (12 weeks at 60% pay), as long as I promise to go back after. After 1 day, I don't know what I want to do.
No matter what, I'll be going back to work somewhere. As of right now I'm planning to stay at my current job. I'm going to keep my options open though and browse other opportunities while I'm out on maternity leave. I don't hate my job, but I'm not planning to make a career out of the place. I don't want to move up to the store manager level at my job, but I wouldn't mind being a store manager elsewhere--I miss working in clothing (not that I'm a fashionista by any stretch of the imagination though) so I might look for a store manager gig at a specialty clothing shop (Carter's would be ideal so I can get a discount! LOL)
Since it is my business I will be back, and potentially not quite have a real ML. Will probably be on email and such within a week of giving birth if I am being realistic. Although we are growing, and if we continue to do so, I may be able to get more help which would put me more on the road for sales and networking, making my schedule more flexible.
I am eligible for about 5 1/2 years unpaid leave (we get 7 years unpaid mat leave all up and I used 18 months with DS) but I think ill be taking the paid mat leave (14 wks full pay starting at 34 wks) and then the paid parental leave through the government (18 wks at minimum wage- $608) then ill go back to work part time- probably three days a week- that will be our term four at school (Australia) then ill get holiday pay then in 2014 I might end up going back full time of four days- will ass what's happening with Dhs job.
