Dude, I've for sure got the cutest older sibling. I don't need any votes to tell me that!!

Seriously though, I think this is a fun idea. I've been MIA because I'm still on maternity leave and it's easier for me to be on the FB group, but I'll be back in the office on Monday. Return of PrettyinPearls, bitches!!!

well if someone can explain to me how to make the badges I can do so. I am NOT fluent in photoshop but I'm pretty technologically advanced. I just need a lesson or two... says the girl with no siggy

I guess my thing on people feeling left out is this: I would feel bad if someone's feelings were hurt, but I don't think that should stop us from doing it. I think it'll be fun for the regs and we shouldn't not do it just because people that don't really participate or feel like they aren't memorable are going to get upset. I don't know.

At the same time, I don't want it to get snarky (like, people making mean nominations), but I have no control over that. So I guess we'll see what happens.

Left out of what? Being nominated or getting voted for something? Not everyone can be a winner (get nominated, etc) and seriously, if someone is going to take something like this to heart and be upset about it then I will seriously question them.

I wasnt trying to get snappy or target you. When I said "if you dont want to feel left out" I was referring to the general "you".

@hbirdie- I dont see anyone starting a mean nomination. I think we all, for the most part, get along here. Yes, we have all had "run-ins" with each other at some point or another. Heck, @auroraloo and I should just share the title of "Most Likely to get into an Argument"

I agree with others, that some people will feel left out. I haven't been posting on here very long, so I wouldn't expect to get nominated for anything because no one knows me very well. I think it's easier to remember someone if they have a pic in their signature though. That's one I put one in mine.

So I posted a question about how they organized it in A13 and the person that made the badges (which are AWESOME, they have the person's name, the award, and a GIF) said she did it in photoshop and that she could explain it in a PM if someone wanted to do it that way. Do you want to try? I guess if you don't know photoshop, maybe we could find someone that does? I don't know it either, although like you I'm pretty tech savvy.

So I think what I'm going to do is start a new thread once we have categories decided. I'll post each category and people can just start nominating people. To get into the final vote (which will be a poll I will set up after nominations are made), you have to have at least two people nominate you.

So what I need is for everyone to throw out what nominations we should have and once we have a good list, we'll start nominating people.

Here's what's already been suggested:

Best Bumpie (or Bumpie of the Year, as A13 calls it)

Best GIFs

Cutest
Tells it how it is

Cutest Older Sibling (we can take this out if it's going to result in hurt feelings)

I would be the one getting hit in the face playing dodgeball... Acting like it didn't hurt and playing "cool".

If I had to say I am the one (in my head) who sees a post, rolls my eyes... if I respond it's generally neutral or supportive. Or I just move on. I just like laughing behind the scenes at the drama and fun.

I blame Clara for my absence. I find her a convenient scapegoat for many things. Have no fear, I have kept up my pantslessness while away. Someone fill me in on everything I missed. Did we all figure out how to pack hospital bags? Are we packing new things now?

I think this is going to be fun! Although I feel like I'm not memorable and probably wont get picked for anything my feelings won't be hurt! And if someone's feelings are hurt they should really figure out why they need this validation!! And if there is a little cat fighting in the process that's ok I'm up for some entertainment!

My dad LOVES Corner Gas. He has all the seasons on DVD and actually wore one of them out from watching them so much. It's not bad for a Canadian show (I'm Canadian so I'm allowed to say that
