I'm at 24 weeks... And I'm up 16lbs. My bmi was 22.7 when I got ku. My dr did say something about my gain a few weeks ago and mentioned to keep on track with my exercise since I was eating healthy.
I was so nauseous first tri, I barely gained any. At about 18 weeks I was only up 4 or 5 and I was throwing myself a little celebration "I only gained 5 lbs so far" party with entirely too much halloween candy among other crap (ice cream for breakfast two days in a row for instance). I've jumped to maybe 10 to 12 since then. Woopsy. Healthy eating habits where are you??!!!
Still at pre preg weight but I did the same with DD. I'm short and small, I stay small for the first half and then balloon like a motherfucker the last few months.
I feel like a fatty after using this calculator! Gee Wiz! I have gained 15lbs and I am 24w4d
THIS! Except I know I've gained more than 15 pounds. Moving and traveling have been tough on me especially since we haven't had a decent kitchen (the one in our lodging sucks and the only seasonings I have are salt and pepper) since October 21. The only choice I have to worry about it at the end.
Can we please stop the "weight" posts now? Pretty please?
I tried yesterday. They still won't listen! And the OP never even came back!
I'm 25w with twins and I've gained about 20lbs. I talked to the Dr. about it last apt and she laughed at me when I expressed concerns. Not rudely, just basically in a "you're a long ways away from worrying about it" way. She said she would let me know if she ever had concerns

I'm 23 weeks an I was 137 when I first found out I was pregnant then lost 10 lbs an now I'm about 132-135 ( really depends on the day/ scale) I figured I'd be over 140 an a fatty when I got pregnant but really I'm super small an all belly. Doc says she's doing great
I haven't been weighed since my 20 week appointment, and I'm about 23 weeks now, but at that point I had gained 11 pounds, which was exactly 4 pounds up from my 16 week appointment. If I've continued gaining weight at that pace, 1 lb per week (which I think I have), I'd be at about 14/15 pounds total by now. I'll find out next week!
( I hate these posts. I'm 24 weeks and have gained 24 lbs. makes me feel like a Fatty Mc Fat Fat when I see everyone who's gained like 10 pounds or lost weight that's just me being self conscious though. But seriously it feels like there have been 10 posts like this in the past few weeks.
7 at 25 weeks, but I've been sick. Weight shouldn't be an issue, we are all lucky enough to grow a human!! Everyone looks beautiful, pregnancy is a beautiful thing.

Meh, I'm just over 23 weeks and up 20 lb. I don't look like I've gained tons but the numbers on the scale are depressing! I've been gaining steadily the past two months and having trouble exercising due to symphysis pubis dysfunction. But I was a normal weight prior to getting pregnant and didn't have much morning sickness...it will all work out!
Me and my Kiwi, both 38. We struggled with RPL and were blessed with Micah. I'm a full custody stepmom to Ethan!

The last couple months I gain like 3-4 lbs a week, I totalled up to about 50 last round. Everyone gains it differently.

Last time I gained 30 exactly, but I was 10 lb heavier that I was when I got pregnant this round (had some infertility treatment weight hanging around). Still normal weight, just not as healthy as I was this time. However, I'm going to lay money I weigh exactly the same when I have this second baby. Weird how the body does what it wants!

I really relate to the last few posters here. I struggle with body image and self-esteem issues. I don't have an eating disorder, mostly because I love food too much, but I always feel like I'm balanced at the edge of one.
....I'd been sooooo good and turning around at the midwives' and not letting them tell me the number, just having them affirm that I was gaining on track, which they have been! Then today at the gym I cheated, and now I know the number, and it's not a small one. Sigh. I shouldn't have done it. I will try not to do it again.
But anyway, I'm glad to hear the positive reassurance from some, including but not limited to @lifeisamiracle, @alholli, and @kcanuck that it is OKAY and will all work out.
Thanks, ladies! I really appreciate it. :-)
....and yeah, I would LOVE it if we could PLEASE stop talking about this. I like talking about ways to be healthy that I can control. I love the exercise support threads. Maybe we should do a mental health check-in thread, too!
My mom said that when she was pregnant she always gained right away, all the weight in the first trimester then nothing. I have friends who gained nothing until late second trimester then gained rapidly. From what I've heard from others, most don't gain weight steadily. You can't really gauge how well you're doing because everyone gains weight differently. Like others have said, if your doctor/midwife tells you there's a problem, then you can worry about it, otherwise, enjoy your pregnancy! This is one of the few awesome times in life where most of us are told to gain weight, I'm sure enjoying not sucking in the gut and watching my calories!

I'm with you! Most of the weight related posts didnt bother me but this one does. Seems like its just about wanting to make herself feel better. I didnt post my weight for that reason, but since you did and I don't want you to feel alone ill say that I'm 25 weeks along and I've gained 22 lbs and I'm neither worried or ashamed or feeling the least bit guilty. I don't feel like I look fabulous but I'm embracing my gorgeous belly and going to enjoy the ride cause its not about the weight, it's about the baby

So I really hope that the bolded portion is sarcasm because that was my number when I had my BFP. If not, this is the reason women have body image issues. We all carry our weight differently and to say that someone (anyone) who weighs 140 is a fatty is insulting and just plain rude.

Yeah, let's just not go there with the numbers. I'm really short and if I weighed 140 I'd feel like a fucking Victoria's Secret model.
@ legallyginger yup, 140 is closer to my goal / dream weight these days! If I was ever 140 again id be prancing around in the skimpiest thing I could find, snapping selfies and posting all over fb!
I'm not scared. I'm 6'2 and weigh 190. I gain 4 lbs alone in the last 2 weeks with a total weight gain of 20 lbs. If I go to 35, I still have 15 lbs to gain. Bring on the pie!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you didn't mean for it to be but this post is like a slap in the face insult to anyone who is normally 140 lbs or over (pregnancy out the window). Just because someone is over 140 doesn't automatically make them a fatty. Everyone's body is different.

Thank you, you said that better than I did! I saw the number, comment and then got all stabby!

I just realized that I basically just re-stated what you had already said! Sorry I saw her post and commented before I kept reading! Definitely wasn't trying to steal your thunder
Well I know I'm a little late to the party but funny story about gaining weight. My husband wanted to carry me up to bed the other night. He lifted me and immediately started huffing and puffing and said "oof I don't think I've carried you since..." Then I started laughing he started laughing and we both crumbled to the floor. Guess he wasn't expecting me to be 15 pounds heavier (which really isn't even that much) maybe it was one of those had to be there kind of things? We both just thought it was hilarious. Ya know we are all going to gain weight while creating a life. It's no big deal.

Re: How many lbs have you gained?
They last weighed me over two weeks ago and it was about 9-lbs. I'm sure it's a few more pounds since then.
