1. MIL gave lo water in a bottle. When I was obviously upset about it, I got this reply from her- "all humans need water, she's fine." I had fi explain why she doesn't get water and tell his dad that his mom needs to stop questioning my every move. 2. The next morning as I was avoiding her, I had to wash lo's bottles. She says to me, "you know you wouldn't have to wash em So much if you just gave her water." 3. Yesterday was my bridal shower. Mil says "I don't think I'm going, I don't want to." Oh okay. Then fi asks me if I'm taking LO and before I could say yes, mil says "no she's not, she doesn't need to." I looked at her and said yes, and she said no. Then she says "she's never going to know who I am if you keep taking her from me."
Our LO had horrible reflux this Morning, despite giving her Zantac when she woke up. It was awful listening to her cry for hours and not being able to do anything about it. She cried, I cried, DH cried.... It was a long morning her. Not being able to help your baby when they are in pain is the worst feeling in the world. I'm just happy she seems to be doing better and taking a nap in the swing. It's taking all my self control not to grab her out of there and just snuggle her, but I know she needs to sleep.
LO has been up since 8:45 (its 2:45) and hasn't napped. Won't nap. Absolutely refuses! No amount of paci, bouncing, swinging, patting or rubbing has worked thus far. The only time he isn't fussing is when he's nursing. I have been crying on and off for the last hour because I'm running out of ideas.
This might be more of a WTF but my partner went to the grocery store and he just texted me that there was a woman outside the store smoking with her LO strapped to her in a carrier. Wow. He gave her a dirty look and she then handed the baby off to another woman who was with her. Whatever lady...damage done.
Stupid vaccines got my LO fussy and pooping the nastiest mucus filled/liquid poos. Called the ped and they said its normal of if is still continuing after a couple more days call back. The diapers are worse than when I was eating dairy. My poor little guy

Have you asked your doc about tying Prevacid instead? Zantac didn't help dd much, but Prevacid has worked really well.
It has to be made and refrigerated though, so your pedi has to call the RX into a compounding pharmacy.

I will have to look into the Prevacid. Thank you! Usually the Zantac helps her, but today it didn't do anything at all.
@turtlemomma@suchgreatheights324 When T gets like that, the only thing that I can do to get her to nap is to swaddle her. She HATES the swaddle, but when she's so tired like that but fighting it, I think it calms her down. She was up at 9 and didn't go back down until 3:45. I had to just swaddle her after us both crying. She's now still asleep!

Mine has barely napped the past 2 days, doesn't matter what I do. I'm sorry you guys are going through this, it's hard.
Thanks for the tip @blondiebia21, I'll try this tomorrow if she's still having a hard time.

My LO is on Prevacid, too. But it's a joke trying to get him to take it. Half the time he spits it out. I take his dose out and get it to room temp hoping that would help and nope, still spits it out. When he does take it, it works so well! Any tips are welcome.
Blonders- I'm so sorry about your future MIL! I hope things get better and future FIL really does put her in her place!

I give it to her very slowly and with her neck kind of arched so I am dropping it in there. If she won't lean that way, I put the syringe far back in her mouth between her cheek and gums.
I also give her a paci immediately afterwards so she can't spit it out.
She doesn't seem to mind the taste or the fact that it's cold though.

I do the pacifier thing and he still spits it out. In fact he just spat it out in my face. I'm going to call and see if the pedi has any recommendations..

Have you tried the Munchkin medicine pacifier? Basically a medicine dispenser with a nipple on the end. We put the Zantac in there, add a bit of formula to mask the taste, and he sucks it right down!

Re: Monday Bitchfest
You deserve a medal for not smacking her!!!
((Hugs)) I'm sorry.
Hope you feel better!!!
