Update furbaby loss mentioned

Sad news to share. Roxie's seizure wouldn't stop. Her temp was over 104. The seizure was lessened by a bunch of valium, but it wouldn't stop and the vet was confident it was something in her brain. The seizures were really tough to watch and our poor little Roxie was being beaten up by them. After a bunch of tears and some conversation we made the decision to put her out of her misery. Roxie is no longer in pain. She lived a great 12 years and was my best friend. I'm still not sure how to process this, but it's nice to have a place to let it all out.
I got to feel her last breath on my face. She will forever be in my heart.

I am so sorry. That's a tough decision to make. I can't remember where, but I once heard a saying "we can't let our pets suffer just so we don't have to." And it always stuck with me. Sounds like you definitely put her needs first, I'm sorry you had to go through it. (Hugs)

ohhhhh i am SO sorry to hear this. i was absolutely crushed when my dog had to be put down so i fully understand how deep the bond can be between a person and his/her pet. i wish i could take a cross country flight right now and give you a huge hug

Oh Calli, I'm so so sorry for your loss. We had to make a similar decision with our cat a little over a month ago, and while it's the best thing for them, it's still the hardest decision to have to make. We're all here for you if you need an outlet or shoulder(s) to cry on. (((hugs)))
