During the day 78-80, at night 75-77, when we have guests a little less.
We have a portable ac that we use to cool just our room. It gets our bedroom to about 70 (which for me is ideal sleeping temp).
That said, the heat index today is 96, if we had it as low as I'd really like it the AC would never turn off. If I think the house is too hot I just go outside and come back in. 77 feels super cool after being out in 96!

78...although sometimes I lower it to 77. And yes, I live in the desert. I tend to get cold if we keep it any lower than 75. Let's hope LO has thin blood like his momma.

We have always kept ours at 78, but this year I have already kicked it down to 76 and may go even lower. I've already pulled out the big floor fan to blow on me at night along with the ceiling fan, which is something I've never done before.
74 during the day and 70 at night. It was 104 here on Saturday and our AC ran ALL day and it was still 80 in the house. The heat is absolutely miserable right now!
I have mine set at all different temps but it goes down to 68 at night and up to 76 in the heat of the day. Programming it has saved us SO much money.

I was beginning to think I'm the only one, just reading some of these temps is making me hot!
We have ours set on 70. It was at 69 but DH was getting a little too cold at night, oops . We've always set it at 70, too, even when I'm not hot and pregnant!
I'm going to answer for no reason other than I'm bored, cause I don't have a/c and definately don't need it here. I could have the heat on today, it's ridiculous! The temp in our house is usually 68 in the winter and in the summer it varies with how warm it is outside.

We have ours set to run at 79 when we are both at work during the day. I get home between 4 and 5 and turn it down to 72. I woke up around 1 am and DH had turned it up to 74 (and I was HOT). I put it back to 72 and he laughed at me for "cranking it down". Seems like 72 is pretty average. I was just curious, thanks!

You, my dear, have made me extremely jealous! It is 102 here today...I'm miserable.
Wow I feel kinda crazy now. We keep it at 72 during the day but at night both DH and I can't sleep unless its 65. Were both very warm blooded so sleeping next to each other is like having a heater in the bed. Right now with pregnancy hormones I would love to keep it at 60 >.<

Right now it's at 76. We also have a window unit in our bedroom set at 70. We live in a very old house with high ceilings, so the temperature throughout is far from consistent.
Saving money while raising more kids than you bargained for!
Last summer we were living in a poorly insulated old house with an undersized central air unit... we were lucky to keep it at 76 when it was near 100 degrees outside. This year we live in a new duplex with proper insulation and an adequate AC. We've been keeping it at somewhere between 71 and 74. It's always warmer upstairs (where the bedrooms are). so I'm not sure what the actual temperature is in our room when we're sleeping.
Normally I am the one bundled up in a hoodie and sweatpants because I am always freezing... this pregnancy has drastically changed my body temperature. Just looking at the temp some of you ladies keep your house at is already making me sweat!!! My thermostat has to be somewhere between 63-65 all day.. all night. Our bedroom has a ceiling fan and I still had to add another small fan that is directly on me.
Luckily we live in military housing so they pay my bills.. cuz that A/C would make our bills through the roof!! lol

During the day it's at 74 (when I remember to turn it back up). At night when we are just hanging out, it's 68 and for sleep 62-64. Plus I also have a fan that blows on me at night. It's like this whether I'm pregnant or not.
We don't have A/C, and our bedroom is on the upper level of our house. I totally have A/C envy right now! Currently we also don't have A/C at my work (a school), and we're out walking in the heat for several hours a day. My car is the only reprieve I get from the heat!

I'm curious if the temperature we choose to set the thermostat is directly dependent on whether we come from a warmer/colder/drier/humid environment? In my very unscientific reading of everyone's responses, it seems like a large majority of posters who hail from say colder, possibly more northern parts of the country keep their thermostats at a lower temperature than those who live in states known for their hot conditions (be that a drier or more humid environment, like FL, TX, NV or AZ). Obviously, there are exceptions but I think it's really interesting how our local weather can influence how we handle temperature conditions.
I so hope the above makes sense because I can't help but feel like a rambling, incoherent mess!

Same here.
Basement: 70 (since the workout room is down there), and it's coolish anyways, so it doesn't take much a/c to get it down to 70.

Upstairs: 78 + ceiling fans

70 when we are home, 72 when we are not.
We have a three story home that is all open up the staircase, so it can be hard to manage and regulate.
