Going on 18 weeks and still not sure about gender. I'm so frustrated now and have apparently no patience because I think I own two of everything right now. Anatomy scan tells all on the 25th but that's sooo far away. Anyone else still waiting?
I have no idea either. Hopefully baby will cooperate on the 22nd. I didn't find out with my first, so I just know that now when we want to find out -- we won't be able to b/c of one reason or another.
You clearly have money if you're able to buy multiples of big ticket items. Out of curiosity why haven't you just gotten an elective gender reveal scan, sounds like you could afford it...
Why not just wait to buy all that stuff or buy it in gender neutral prints? If you're having more than one child I wouldn't think you would want to buy specific gender themed big stuff anyways.
heheh...Mine is the 25th and I don't have one single thing yet. I kinda feel like I still have plenty of time to shop. I'm not so impatient about finding out the sex, I'm excited, I'm more anxious about knowing everything is ok!
Um yeah.... Most of us are probably still waiting. I have an EDD at the beginning of April and my A/S is on nov 22. It's been scheduled since 11 weeks. The wait has been torture... But we're in the home stretch now.

The fact that you're buying so much stuff is puzzling but what's really getting me is that your just 18 weeks! If you're able to buy all that stuff, why don't you just get an elective ultrasound?
I have 2 cribs, 2 bedding sets, 3 strollers and 2 swings. So much stuff to resell after we get an answer. I feel like a madwoman.
I...um...I....am just baffled.... I agree with all the previous posters, why not just pay for the elective U/S or the DNA blood test if you have that much money to throw around? The bedding sets I understand but the cribs, strollers and swings? :-? A great deal of us are still awaiting gender results, I am due in the very beginning of April and our A/S won't be until the week of the 18th. We will however find out the sex as well as a few (hopefully good!) other things this week when we FINALLY get the results from our DNA testing back. The only thing I have purchased thus far is a Happy Halloween sleeper from BRUS that was 80% off and I just couldn't pass it up to use for next year :-)
This thread is odd... I haven't purchased anything at all. I have a sleeper that I found at value village that I thought was adorable (wasn't pg, wasn't planning on being pg). We find out gender this weekend at a 3d place and then we'll shop

Ours is on the 23rd. I'm pretty nervous. As long the baby is healthy that's what I'm most worried about. I'm a bit superstitious, haven't even bought a pregnancy pillow. Waiting for the appointment
In defense of all the hate coming my way, I have not bought a single thing new for this baby. Everything has been either garage sale or craiglist finds. I am honestly hurt that I got nothing but criticism from the people I thought would understand and share my enthusiasm. We aren't rich by any means, and won't be wasting money on elective ultrasounds. I will, however, be donating my duplicates to a local crisis pregnancy center once the gender is determined. I'm sorry that so many of you find me ridiculous.

That's nice that you're going to donate it but why in the hell are you buying stuff if you don't want to waste money? When you post ridiculous crap, expect to be called out on it. Buying shit like you're going into labor tomorrow with 20+ weeks left is ignorant.
And secondly, quit whining about having to wait a couple weeks to have an AS. It makes you sound like a child. Grow up and have some patience.

If you can't waste money on an elective u/s, I don't understand how you're buying multiple cribs and strollers? And I don't understand why you would be anyway... can you help us understand? I mean, we've bought our crib, but it's dark brown wood... and the stroller on our list is black. I haven't seen too many gender specific cribs and strollers, so I'm confused as to why multiple purchases would be necessary.
I have bought a couple gender specific onesies and clothes from thrift stores and we are team green. They were too cute to pass up. All in I spent under $20 and either way I can't use half of it but I can just donate it or give to friends who are due the same time as me.
