I hate lucky charms...something about those little marshmallows crunching between my teeth...*shiver*
Lucky charms are disgusting! Also, red velvet cake is overrated. DD wears cute outfits but they usually consist of a onesie with coordinating leggings/soft pants and she looks nice when we go out. She doesn't have to wear baby versions of adult clothes to look put together.
I love cats. I HATE coffee. I love baby jeans. Most of A's clothes aren't "cute" or "stylish". I do at least try to get a matching/ looking good outfit for DCP.
I hate when there are "cross over" versions of songs done. Example "Dirt Road Anthem" with the rapper. NO. JUST. NO.
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
I judge the people in my building who take the elevator one floor. It's like 12 steps and it takes longer to wait for the elevator then to take the stairs.
I could see maybe judging someone you know very, very well, who you know for a fact doesn't have any health problems (sister, best friend, etc.) But I have known many people who look perfectly healthy but have major knee issues, and it really hurts them going up the stairs. I bet people judge them, but it's really none of their business. And just because you work with someone doesn't mean you know their life story. Not everyone announces their health problems to their coworkers.
Sorry, but this one just bothers me. Many people get judged because they have a silent disability or health problem.
I know what you mean about silent disability because my dad lost one eye in an accident and wore a really convincing glass eye. HOWEVER, @Steamboat1679 said she judges, it's not like she's going up to them and yelling at them for taking the elevator. What is so bad about this judging? And it is unlikely that all of them are suffering from silent disability. Most of them are probably just lazy.
Which leads to my UO. People are so freaking sensitive about judging. There's nothing wrong with judging as long as you judge silently. We need to stop guilting people for judging and stop trying to police people's thoughts.
----- Of course people are entitled to think what they want. But when you announce what you are thinking, you open yourself up to someone bringing up an idea you may have never considered before. I have posted a couple of UO before where people brought up a counterpoint I had never thought of before, and it had an effect on my opinion. I see nothing wrong with healthy debate when I disagree with someone's opinion.

I wouldn't say it's overrated. I tried it and it was basically an awful experience that drained my sanity. He wouldn't latch, lazy eater, couldn't function to take care of the other 2, and I never felt a "bond" doing it. I pumped for 2 months, which also drained my sanity. He got some of the benefits, which I'm thankful for. But, I wouldn't say I'm sad it didn't work for me. I wouldn't ever say it's overrated though.

I agree. My mom has been disabled since she was 40. She has had 5 back surgeries, 3 back fusions, brain surgery, and a hip and knee replacement. She is only 57. I can't even count the number of times some rude person would come up to us in the past to tell her she can get a fine for parking in a handicapped spot. And it would be hanging right on her mirror. But if you look at her briefly, you would never know what she has been through and goes through evey day to do normal things we take for granted. Just saying- not everyone is noticeably disabled, but may not be able to make it up stairs. My mom certainly can't.
My UO is I can't believe how many of you didn't miss me or list me in your superlatives. Clearly I am witty and hilarious and a well-balanced Libra who doesn't wear panties so it's hard to get them into a twist.

@tiffletons518..I suppose I could have worded it better. Breastfeeding was also very trying for us. I dreaded every time I needed to feed him because he wouldn't latch and I felt so inadequate. I pump now and it's much easier, but am trying to wean from it. No one can prepare for the emtions a woman can go through while trying to breastfeed.
Let's see. I think last night was absolutely ridiculous. @Blang23 won fair and square and I think she'd make a great mod. If you missed the vote, tough you-know-what. There was enough notification and you don't get 3 days to vote for the president IRL.
I like red velvet cake but the REAL red velvet cake is not "flavored" red It's some sort of chemical reaction between vinegar and baking soda (powder? I forget).
I also don't mind the tv. I try not to use it as a crutch all the time but I will say when we were out to eat the other day he was staring at the tv not making a peep. Why mess with that?
Also, LO has some baby jeans and button down shirts. The jeans are lined and comfy. Someone bought him a pair of skinny jeans but they looked so uncomfy I returned them.
And, I love sushi. I don't have any additional UOs today. Too exhausted.
All of this. Except the sushi love *shudder* I did try it though! And I do wish I liked it cause it's so pretty.
Also, pretty sure red velvet cake only exists because cream cheese frosting needs a home.
@Steamboat1679 it happened all the time when I was a teenager. I guess they would assume she parking there illegally. Then we would point to her placard. Now she uses a cane or wheelchair, so people don't say anything any more. I am also a psycho now and will NEVER park in a handicapped spot even if there are 5 free and only need it for a second.

Of course, there is nothing wrong with debating and stating your disagreement. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't voice your disagreement in this thread?!? I don't see how what I did (disagreeing with your disagreement of Steamboat's opinion) is any different than what you did (disagreeing with Steamboat's opinion).
I think trying to get in shape post baby is useless and housework with a baby on your hip is enough exercise. And people who are all about it make me roll my eyes. I made a person I officially reserve the right to be fat. I don't mind wearing mom jeans now because of it.
I lost a lot of friends today. Cat-hatred is a serious flaw, you guys. Do you hate all things cute and fluffy?
Off to cuddle my little June.
Okay fine I still love you but I worry you you have been hurt before. By a cat. Why else would you HATE them? I want to understand!!
I'm fine with cats who aren't jerks! Most cats are jerks to me. I'm the first one to mention when my friend has an awesome cat who isn't an asshole to me. But I must have a scent they find threatening. I have been bitten, scratched, hissed at...little jerks! I'm happy to give cuddles when they let me. Even though my allergies hate them.
@ihearttab Here's my reasoning. I think they are the animal version of the snotty kids that are too cool to talk to you. I had a dog when I was a kid. I could run outside to get the mail, and when I would come back in, you would think that I'd been gone all day. He was always happy to see me, when I was sad, he would try and cuddle with me (all 70lbs of him), he was my buddy. Then you have cats. You could be gone all day and they probably wouldn't care. They only want you to pet them when THEY want your attention. If I'm going to have a pet, I want a pet that wants my attention as much as I love giving it. And, before you say "But, my cat is like that. She's just like a dog" I have NEVER met a cat owner who hasn't said those words. And, cats know I'm not a cat person. I have a friend who whenever I would go to her house, the cat would walk the perimeter of the room just so he didn't have to walk in front of me. And, her other cat would purposely have stare downs with me because he knew I didn't like him. Sorry tab..

They must smell your pup and think you only love dogs!
I am not a dog person because dogs HATE me. I was jumped by a police dog as a child (he lived behind me) and my long term hs bf's dog bit me once. I try to love all the animals, but once bitten, twice shy ya know?
Except snakes. And spiders. They can go away forever.
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
@tiffletons518 I can't stop loving you! I think maybe I've just had awesome cats. One cat used to run out the cat door when I got home, jump on my hood, and bat the window until I opened the door. This same cat would lay in the back seat of my car when I would drive to the corner store.
My current cat is a Blue Abyssinian, one of the friendliest, most social breeds. She craves attention and cuddles and loooves our kids, even when they are yanking her tail and grabbing handfuls of fur with sticky baby hands.
I got carried away there. Anyway, cats get such a bad rap.
I'm an "old reg" and it makes me irrationally sad that I don't recognize 1/2 the sns on the board these days. I'm trying to get back into TB to remedy that.
My UO is I hate hate hate that wrecking ball song. Hate it. And did someone on here say Miley is talented? Really? I liked some of her older songs because they're catchy but I would never call her talented. She's an ok enough singer (kinda like b spears) but she doesn't write her own stuff, I think she *might* play guitar but she clearly can't dance and she isn't a great actress either.
@kread8 2 things. One, I've missed seeing you. And, two.. thank you!! I personally don't think she is talented in the slightest and I think the only reason she's popular is because she knows how to stir the pot.

Nope. Miley isn't a great singer. Daddy can sing (saw him live back in the day). Women that can sing? Martina McBride, Sara Evans, Julie Roberts (no, not Julia), Idina Menzel.... Miley. Nope. Is she terrible? No... she's like Carrie Underwood. Voice ain't bad but I'm not gonna choose her for awards!

unpopular. Girl can SANG.
@wasnotwas I heart you big, but we will never agree on this.
My UO: babies don't need fancy clothes beyond onesies and sleep and plays. Seriously. I feel so bad for babies who are shoved into jeans and button down shirts, etc. put the kid in pajamas!!! Make sure they are comfy enough to move naturally so they can roll, reach, kick, etc
Amen for that. When I do pick up from daycare I feel judged by other moms because T is always in footed PJs. Come on we are not here for a fashion show, I want him to be comfy. He's spending more than 8 hours there, it's the least I can do. Also, I think it's easier for DCPs to do diaper changes.
Pfffffft... I dress Radley up all the time and I love it. He can still move freely and he looks damn adorable.

I'm disappointed. I saw this was 5 pages and expected more than cat/coffe/red velvet hate.
Not that I enjoy drama, but usually when it's that long, there's usually something really crazy.
I'm going to go hug my cat now.
