    We told just parents and a few close friends...a few people have guessed :) Its hard to wait and tell my siblings (the youngest is 6) because they will blab it to the world. So we are waiting til at least Thanksgiving and announcing on Fb after the first Tri.

    BFP 10-11-13 / Saw HB(110bpm) on 11-4-13 / Miscarried @ 8wks (11-18-13)
    Started Charting and TTC again Feb.2014

    We told my co-workers/boss because I work in women's clinic with a bunch of moms and didn't think I could hide it from them. (Plus, I can't pick their brains as well if I don't share.) But we're telling immediate family, this weekend...because it's so hard to wait, and my husband is so close to letting it slip that I want the family to know before he accidentally tells someone else. But we don't live near family and won't see them for a looong time. So, we were going to call, but one of my co-workers said it'd be better to Skype, at least with my parents. Thoughts on the etiquette of the reveal? I originally had planned to send a cute package in the mail to let them know they were grandparents but my husband said not calling first would be lame. *sigh* It's a happy time, but it's so weird being the first kid/grandkid announcing the birth of my first kid. Any tips??

    We agreed early on that we wouldn't tell a soul until 1st tri, which just happens to be Thanksgiving. I keep catching people staring at my stomach, and I just change the subject. Family is starting to look suspicious, but we won't give in!

    For some reason, my husband never wants to tell anyone! He goes, can we just tell them when we have the baby? Haha. No idea why he's resistant.

    I had my ultrasound today and was so excited that I totally went against my original plan of waiting until the second trimester to tell my parents and I called up my dad (my relationship with my mom is strained and very businesslike with my dad so I wasn't sure if either parent would be happy). My Dad was actually super excited, and then had to get off the phone so he could tee off on the golf course. Par for the course but better than I ever expected. Lol.

    We told our parents the day I got a BFP. We each told a few people gradually over the next couple weeks. I dressed up as a pregnant woman for Halloween and posted the pic on FB. I got lots of questions and revealed that I was in fact pregnant, just not that far along. I had my first u/s on Tues. Oct. 29. We saw baby and heard a heartbeat.We ccouldn't keep it secret any longer. I suck at keeping secrets and this is our first, so we're really excited!

    I've only told a close friend who just had her first baby so she has been super helpful with answering questions. Waiting until my 7 week appt to tell a few more friends but we will probably announce to our families in person at thanksgiving.
    Married for three years on October 2nd Expecting our first baby, and my PIL's first grandchild!

    I've only told the immediate people I work with. The kids don't know yet and neither does anyone in our families yet. I want to find just the right way to tell my family and the kids.

    Only my parents and sister know and that's only because they would not stop bugging me about planning a family vacation this summer.  I wanted to wait a little longer.  We will tell DH's parents and brothers on the 16th when we see them but wait to announce to everyone else until 12 weeks which I think is mid December. I'll only tell work (my boss) earlier if I'm sick a lot so he doesn't think I'm dying.

    We told DHs brother and SIL but that's it.  I will be telling my boss soon because I have a lot of appts in the coming weeks and it will be easier to request time out of the office if he knows why.  We won't be telling family or friends until the holidays...around 15-16 weeks.

    I've only told my mom. We'll probably tell DH's immediate family this weekend/upcoming week. We'll tell the rest of our families after the NT scan on the 13th and tell friends/everyone else on Thanksgiving.

    My mom, stepdad and sister know, a few close friends, dh's brother and his wife and dh's cousin. Everyone else we're waiting until 12-13 weeks

    Found out that my cousin and her husband are expecting their third child, and we are two weeks apart exactly. We are so excited. We're now planning to go visit in December, our birthdays are also two weeks apart and take photos together for our announcement. She and I have now breathed a sigh of relief and are telling each other everything. Whew! 

    The first U/S is Wednesday but we're now adamant about this double surprise.

    My DW and I told close family, a few friends, and those at work. The official FB announcement may have to wait until Turkey Day. We had a M/C in August and this will be our first and first grand baby. Soooo excited- just want to post our first UC photo! 6wks, 1 day today!

    I'm not telling my mother until I have to which will probably be Thanksgiving. Because he's a blabbermouth, that means I can't tell my brother either. DH told his family & also reminded them  that our kiddos don't know yet. His Mom turns around, takes her by her hands, looks into her eyes, and says to my oldest child (6) "Mommy is having a baby. This is exciting! Aren't you glad you get another baby in the house." 

    I was furious!! I wish he'd never have opened his face hole and I wanted to punch her in hers!

    I am just over 7 weeks and I am filled with joy! I have a baby...a life...a blessing growing inside of me... My husband an I are beside ourselves with happiness.We decided to share with close friends and family... We are waiting to make it "Facebook official" until after my 10 week appointment. We have told quite a few people.
