We had her kidney dr appointment today. I was really hoping he'd look at the ultrasound images and say that it wasn't as bad as the original dr told us..that it was just some minor abnormalities and nothing left to do.
Of course that was wishful thinking. He agreed her kidneys are thin and she had extra calcium around them. They took blood and are sending her urine in for testing.
Until we get those test results back (some within a few days, some might not be for weeks), we can't determine how severe the issue is. I had a list of questions but basically none of them can be answered at this point which is frustrating.
Please just keep DD in your thoughts and prayers. On the surface she seems totally fine..never would guess this was going on...so hopefully it's not a huge deal...but it's still scary.

Re: Update on DD's kidney issue
Keep your questions, because they will be able to answer them soon. The good thing is that they can do a lot with kidneys and more than likely they can do something before your DD ever feels badly at all!!!
I am keeping you guys in my thoughts and prayers. We are dealing with DH's kidney issues right now too, so I am there with you. If you ever want to talk or vent or need some resources I am here for you!!!
