siggy and profile images are important

Okay, so I've noticed a lot of you still don't have a profile image or anything (tickers don't count) in your siggy.  Having a unique image that others can use to easily identify and remember you makes getting to know each other so much quicker! 

So I'm here to help.  Have any questions or issues getting your siggy or avatar to work?  Ask away!

    Will you just do it for me? I'm too tired to figure it out! Lol! My ticker is from my previous pregnancy that ended sadly in a loss at 14 weeks so I would really like to get it changed, but it absolutely WILL NOT CHANGE!!! Ugggghhh I want the fun stuff y'all have, but am just "challenged" in figuring it out!!!

    @jes43 Are you using the new siggy settings page or the old one?  After the site make over it changed.  In the upper right corner of your screen there is a small grey person thing.  Click that.  And then you can click signature settings.  It looks like this...

    I too have tried to get my siggy up but no luck...I just gave up.

    If you do a google search for pregnancy ticker, you will get a lot of options.  Pick one you like and personalize it!

    @jes43 , there is a new place to make your siggy than where it used to be. The blog has the correct instructions to find the new place to make siggies and update profile pics.

    Thank you @EllyD14 I am seriously mixing everyone up with no profile pictures and lacks of siggies. The generic profile pics are the worst when mobile!

    Alright - I'm actually on a computer and would love to have a gif. I can't seem to find the post that had the gif FAQs in it. Is there something different that we need to do to have a gif in our siggy instead of just a post?

    I've been meaning to add something fun to my signature.  This thread has inspired me.  Plus, it's Friday and I don't feel like doing any work.

    @lalala8 And everyone else looking to change their avatar, you have to change your profile image/avatar the same way as always.  At the very top right of your screen it says "MY ACCOUNT."  Click that and then there is one that says "change my avatar."  Click that and upload your image.  You'll need to click save like 50 times as fast as possible because it's weird sometimes.  Also, it will take about 20-30 minutes to actually show up on the board.  So just be patient.

    Nothing different.  If you follow the link to the blog in the OP it's on the same FAQ page.

    I am mobile and I think it's stupid you don't get any options on the phone. I tried to do a siggy on the computer and even wrote one but it didn't post. All I did was pick a avatar. I did a ticker and couldn't figure out where to post it. I'm a mess. I rarely sit down in front of a computer. I didn't want to put this app on my family shared kindle. Ugh

    Yay! One of the things I love is you don't have to do a new post to check and see if it worked, just find an old post of yours and if it worked it will show. If you see your old siggy then something went wrong.

    Yeah, the mobile version could definitely use a rework.  But as a one-time thing just to get your siggy/avatar to work, you can load the full website and do it that way.  It might be annoying depending on how big your phone is, but it's always an option.  Also, your avatar must not have taken, because we don't see one for you.

    My ticker does not seem to be working, and I strip out all the images and signatures when I'm at work so I don't have huge GIFs flashing across my screen when people walk by my cube :-/ I will have to figure this out later!

    Am glad to finally add more to it - being on a full computer helps with that. Plus, it didn't break my heart to search for Chris Hemsworth gifs... I may or may not be giggling like a schoolgirl while trying to pretend I am working.

    I'm working on the tickers.  I know if you just take the second part of the link, the img part, and add that line in the insert image box, it will show the ticker.  Try that.

    @lcgroenewe, if you look at any of your previous posts in this thread it will show what your siggy currently looks like.  Posting test posts isn't necessary.

    Now adding an avatar is a little different.  You have to go up to the very top right where it says "my account" and then go to "change my avatar."

    I know those images are supposed to be there, but it's totally blank there on my computer, HOWEVER, when I hover over the area, I see the pop-up that tells me it's there.  It's a mystery.  The screenshot helped resolve the confusion though.  Thanks.
