1. I'm really not a fan of posting pictures of sick kids. They look so sad and pitiful. A friend of mine has a son who is sick all the time and she always posts pics of him looking awful. It makes me irritated for him. He's only two but I'd be so pissed if someone posted pics of me at my worst.
2. I really, really do not like mustaches. I don't like goatees either but mainly just mustaches. However, I like the whole short rugged beard look. MH says he will be growing a mustache for Movember. Although a great cause, I'm not looking forward to this. We have family pics the weekend before Thanksgiving so I'm not sure how that's going to work...
My UO: I think the whole concept of naming a baby and making sure it goes with sibling's names is really dumb. Obviously, you aren't going to have kids named, say, Anna and Hannah (unless they are twins, in which case, blech!) But I honestly never heard of this concept prior to being on TB and I think it's stupid. I have mentioned before that my SIL named all of her kids starting with the letter "C" and it drives me crazy. Your kids are not always going to be with their siblings so who cares!!!
@alinafed I'm giggling because you used the word spelt I know it's correct but it's just like the word learnt, which is not considered to be spelled (lol) correctly here in the US!

----------- Holy shit I'm very sorry I offended you. Sorry about that. My friend uses it and I thought it meant something like "foolish person". I'm in a joking mood today. Forgive me. *running to the Brittish dictionary*
@MiaMyPuggle Don't worry, it takes a lot more than that to offend me!
Just thought I'd point it out incase you said it to another Brit and got punched
My Brittish friend says it to me. I'm going to slap her for calling me a masturbator! She prob laughs about it bc I'm clueless. Like bloke? What the hell is that? Prob means something terrible, too, and she say that as well.
I am loving my prenatal yoga DVD for the moves-- but the commentary is WAY too earthy for me. Wtf does it mean to breathe from underneath your baby?! I just can't...

@cpm1223 Lol I realized that as I was writing it. You know what though, us Canadians grow up in school always being told two ways of doing things (feet and metres, fahrenheit and celsius, colour and color) because we are like the love-children of the British and Americans. So it's only fair you guys get exposed to our way of spelling things at some point too haha, be happy it wasn't in school!
Going off of the grammar and different terms in different countries, are any of you Canadians or Brits paranoid that people on the bump will think you are spelling things wrong when you write things like COLOUR or HONOUR etc?
I commented on a post last week about my nursery and wondered how many americans would read it and assume I spelled colour incorrectly. Just a passing thought.
Using the extra U in many of those words is, to me, well established as an alternate and primary spelling of the same word in other countries. I don't snark at anyone who spells those words that way.

@RingOfFire11: I totally agree with this. One of the girls I knew in college recently posted a picture of her 3 year old daughter following dental surgery. The poor child had blood all over her face! I was horrified and immediately hid it from my feed.

Oh geez! Why do parents think we need/want to see this?!

Additionally, if my child had blood on their face I'd be cleaning it off, not taking a friggin picture and posting it on facebook!

I did this in my head while trying to decide this LO's name LOL I just wanted to be sure it would flow well with Emily for things like Christmas cards.
First time posting my UO. I hate it when parents coddle. I'm a nanny and nothing irks me more than the 3 year old crying to get his way because it always works, except maybe the fact that his older brother has to accommodate his behavior significantly to halt the crying. I don't mind comforting when they cry over something legitimate, but I think it's essential as a parent to teach your children what's legitimate and what's not (like the fact that your 11 year old brother won't sit and entertain you CONSTANTLY). Ugh- frustrating day.

My UO and I'm not too sure if someone brought it up in the past, but.. dog strollers, I don't get them..but I think I have this thing against them because we passed by a garage sale months ago and saw a nice looking stroller out in the open and made SO turn around the car so we can look at it and it turned out to be a stroller for dogs.. also my MIL was with us too..they both laughed at me all the way home..

Haha! I had to stop doing mine from YouTube because the lady kept asking me to "breathe in the love" for my baby and "exhale the waste of negativity." What the hell does that mean?

The only thing worse is taking and posting pictures of seriously sick people and/or people in coffins. I have a cousin that does this. Before my grandfather died she was taking pictures of him (in a coma) and telling my other cousins to get in the picture. She would also walk into the room and scream into his ears to talk to him. I am sure he wanted her to shut the f up. My cousin also took tons of pictures of our grandmother in her coffin and shows them to everyone.
@happydoc, I'm with you. I'm no stay at home mom material. My hubby is a much better choice for this endeavor. He's 100x more patient than I am. I'd, however, be down with working part time!
I get the TV thing. The only time I judge someone for having their kid watch TV is if it's all the time with very little entertainment or interaction from the parents. That shit just downright pisses me off. I severely limit my dd's TV watching but that's because she's ADHD and becomes obsessed.
I don't care if other people wear thongs but I personally cannot stand thread up my butt crack.

AHH! Who would ever think to take a photo of someone in a coffin?? This makes me shudder. fajfoaevadknmeln <---- I can't even focus. I would not do well with that at all. Nope. Nope.
&& regarding the thong situation--- as long as you aren't showing your underwear off to the world, pretty sure who gives a shit what you're wearing underneath? Not I. I prefer thongs 90% of the time because a "wedgie" [--] big versus [------] big is far more tolerable in my world. Plus- I cannot stand having a panty line- so it's no show, or thong for moi.
@penstated912 I super LOL'ed to your comment. I can't handle it so I just turn it down. I think I know the moves by heart now, so I just have the video on for timing. I think I'm going to try another one and see if it's any different.

Mine are kind of lame so I'll offer up two:

I hate when people call their son "my little man." I don't know why. I also firmly believe that girls are NOT princesses, unless they are. Bleah.
