DS is a horrible eater. He won't try new things ever. If I try to mix something in with his trusted Mac and cheese he will wipe it off the middle or throw the noodle out. He will eat almost any fruit, Mac and cheese, and yogurt. Other than that it's hit or miss. He will most if the time eat avacado and pancake or toast. He only will eat puréed veggies. He seriously refuses all other food. Help me please! I think the pedi might refer us to a speech therapist to help with the eating at his 15 month and I want to do it on our own. I give him food to try, let him play with it, let him feed me, but nothing works.
He's also not drinking enough. He has about 16oz of milk in his bottle morning and night and other than that doesn't even finish one sippy of water or diluted juice. What's up with my kid? He's always been picky with food. It's making meal time so hard.
Re: Picky eater help!!!
Are the doctors concerned about growth? Maybe you can try the toddler formula in place of a bottle of WCM to try and get DS the nutrients he needs?
Hang in there! I vividly remember my sister only eating pbj sandwiches for MONTHS.
06/10 mmc@ 10 weeks: 03/11 mc @ 8 weeks due to blighted ovum.
Breakfast- oatmeal made with wcm and a banana mashed in or waffle and yogurt
Lunch- pretty much Nutella and jelly is all she will eat, ocassionally a grilled cheese
Dinner- picks at what we eat, usually throws it on the floor. I still give her puréed pouches that are fruit mixed with a veggie to get veggies in.
Snacks are goldfish, animal crackers, yogurt, applesauce, blueberries or bananas
She also only drinks 2-3 cups of milk a day. Our pedi said 3 is the max. I don't even offer her water or juice because she usually doesn't drink enough milk..
