  • Your not alone! From about 12 weeks to 13 weeks I had one everyday!!! I haven't had one in the past few days and I will be 14 weeks tomorrow
  • I'm 15 weeks tomorrow and I've been getting them really bad! Finding it hard to get to sleep with them!
  • I've woke up with one almost every day the past 2 weeks. Hope this is temporary!

All are welcome in my posts

  • I had horrible sinus headaches from about w14-16w3d. The past few days have been much, much better. The headaches were pretty unbearable.

  • I get headaches pretty regularly, yeah. Last pregnancies they were a lot worse though, so I'm counting my blessings.

Sneaking a nap is really helpful, as is drinking relaxing herbal tea like chamomile, lemon, ginger, etc. Tylenol is safe for pregnancy, but I tend to avoid it anyways.

  • I have been getting headaches regularly for a few weeks now, I try to avoid it but have been taking Tylenol, I'm 17 weeks 1day.
  • Yes, I hit the 15 week mark last Friday and I had a day and night long headache yesterday and woke up with it today. A fix for every single one of my headaches has been getting adjusted by a chiropractor. I go to an awesome one ( just so happen to be related to him and work for him as well) I'm telling you, an adjustment can make a great deal of improvement.
  • I am 15 weeks and have have had a head pounder every night. Gone by morning though.
  • I'm pretty sure it's a fairly common second trimester "symptom" and it definitely sucks. Try drinking more water too, sometimes dehydration can cause them.

  • ugh. YES! I can tell you though-- I got a prenatal massage a few days and haven't had a headache since.

  • Also- one thing my doc mentioned was if you have an incorrect fitting bra-- this can cause some neck/back strain which could cause headaches.

  • I have been having terrible headaches. Ice packs or cold cloths & laying in a quiet, dark room help a little. Some caffeine & dose of Tylenol is my other go-to. I had to get a prescription from the Dr for something stronger, but I try not to take it.

If I remember correctly, my headaches were gone around 18 weeks with DS. I hope we are all headache free soon!

  • On the bright side, it is nice to know I'm not alone. However, these headaches can go away anytime now!

  • I've been getting horrible head aches too. I use to never get them. I'm not comfortable taking anything so I just suffer through them. A hot shower w water running on my neck helps.
  • Me, since 15w.  Every day they start mid-afternoon and I have it until I go to sleep.  Sometimes I feel like I can't do anything because it hurts so bad.  It's horrible.  I hope it goes away for all of us soon!

  • I had awful headaches too - and then I realized they would go away with coffee or a diet coke! I've tried not to drink DC but of it helps the headaches so be it! I lose my appetite completely so a little DC is worth it.
  • @Megla At the ER the doctor told me coffee can help with migraines!

I still have my headache! They want me to go back for an MRI if it isn't gone by tomorrow. : (

  • Good luck!! Have a cup of coffee and hopefully it goes away today!
  • My almost daily headaches stopped after a visit to my eye doctor. My vision changed a lot! They gave me contact samples so I didn't need to buy anything for a couple of months to make sure the changes are sticking around.
  • Last week I had then mon, tues, fri, and today it's horrible but I think I have a head cold or something.

  • Ahh the headaches have been awful!! My glasses have been helping me if I wear them all day. Hopefully your glasses will do the trick for you...or at least help!
  • ~ I have terrible headaches all the time, since midway through the first trimester. Sometimes naps work, 1 cup of coffee sometimes does the trick, which my Dr says is ok to do. She also said to take Tylenol. If they don't get better, I'm going to ask for something stronger than Tylenol at my next appt, next Friday. Headaches during pregnancy are typically due to hormones!!!! Also, prenatal massages about 2 times per month have been helping. In gonna try the cold compress on my head and neck next! Hope you all start feeling better soon!
  • I have one right now too! I'm 14 weeks and I've been getting them probably once every 2 weeks. I normally go to the chiropractor every week and I notice that when I don't keep up with it, that's when I get them.

  • I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come, but I have had one all day.

I'm almost 16 weeks and have been fighting one each day since 14 weeks. My doc says they are tension and most common between 14 an 18 weeks. Relaxing and massaging my head, neck, and shoulders helps most.

  • I am 13 weeks tomorrow and have had a headache since Saturday. I went to the DR yesterday because in my pregnancy book given to me by the hospital, it says to call if you are having persistent severe headaches that won't go away with Tylenol. They were just worried about my blood pressure. Everything was good though, this is just a common pregnancy. My midwife said that if I ever get tunnel vision, chunks of black spots, and if I feel like my head is going to explode (horizontally like in cartoons) then to call because it is a blood pressure problem. Headaches are the #1 sign of high blood pressure. Other than that headaches are just a lovely symptom that we all get to experience. Oh and my midwife did give me a prescription for something stronger but I haven't decided if I will take it or not.
  • I am on day 6 and it is so bad. Tomorrow will be one week and of it isn't gone they want me to go back in for some tests as they are worried about a potential clot. So scary. I never get headaches so this is very atypical for me which is making them extra concerned.

  • Yep, I have one right now too.  I'm 16 weeks, 6 days and I've had a migraine since Saturday.  Went to urgent care on Monday, the prescription they gave me didn't do jack.  Went to the ER yesterday, that prescription also didn't help.  I think it's finally going away on it's own, but I want to murder everyone and everything around and I feel helpless because literally nothing is working.  My OB wants me to see a neurologist.  But it takes forever to get a consultation.  Anyway,  I wish you all luck in getting rid of them!  Hopefully we'll all be headache free soon!
  • You are not alone I'm 16 weeks and have had them almost daily for 3 weeks finally broke down as have had a bit of caffeine. My doc is also testing my thyroid and checking for anemia since I get dizzy too and both that and the headaches could be caused by my thyroid or the anemia

  • Yes!  And I cannot stop sneezing.  I think it's allergies/change in season for me.  I took zyrtec for the first time today and I feel MUCH better!!!  :)
  • I have always had chronic migraines. they toltally knock me out and pregnancy has only made them worse. my doctor gave me a perscription not really sure what its called but she told me only to take it if its a migraine. aside from the migraines i have a head ache atleast every other day and my doctor told me to take tylenol and some caffene like coke. I dont like to do caffene but a little with a headache will help alot!

  • Yes at least once a week and I'm 13 Weeks!
  • I've gotten pretty bad headaches and migraines since I was a kid, so I don't know if that is the reason, but I have definitely been getting them with much more frequency (5 or 6 days a week) for the past few weeks.  (I was 16 weeks on Monday)  Tylenol thankfully does seem to help, I just get a bit worried about taking it so often.  Hope you find some relief!!!

  • All week esp in the mornings.. It's been brutal I almost prefer ms :(
  • 14 weeks, nausea has mostly subsided and has been replaced by migraine headaches. My hubby preferred the constant morning sickened. I can't decide which is worse :/
  • This makes me feel so bad for people who have chronic headaches/ migraine. It's so draining to have your head hurt all the time.
