  SMS- lol, I keep seeing the previews for that and wondering the same thing.  I can't imagine it's really like that everywhere in Alaska!!

I think 35w is the magic number though. My hospital has a special care nursery within the well baby nursery where they kept him for a day for observation, however I could have him in my room whenever I wanted to.   Oh, wow.  Yeah DD was only 4lb15oz.  But you're right, every hospital is different.  They did tell me they wanted to make sure that she was gaining weight before sending her home.  They are a great hospital and I trust that they did the right thing.  It just makes me sad sometimes that we missed out on that experience of leaving the hospital with her.
