I'll have to update more later, but at my 36 week appt today I was measuring too small so dr ordered an ultrasound. It discovered that baby was too small and wasn't thriving in the womb. Dr told us baby needed to come out today. Too bad baby was still breech. So we walked over to the hospital, completely unprepared and got prepped for a c-section. Baby boy Jude was born around 4pm at 3lbs 2oz. Doctors believe he has Trisomy 18. They spent 4 hours trying to stabilize him and he was then transported to a children's hospital in Des Moines (about 45 min away). That little guy is a fighter!! DH went with Jude, and I remain in the local hospital recovering. Our little guy is precious and adorable and I got to visit him briefly and touch his wee little foot. His big brothers and sister got to meet him as he was leaving for the ambulance. He is having loads of testing done. My heart is broken, but overwhelmingly in love with our new little peanut.
