    Im glad I got a rise out of all of you.
    Especially when all I did was stick up for a fellow app poster that was being attacked.
    I don't play the poor me game and I don't feel sorry for anyone.
    I'm not losing sleeping over any of this.

    Almost every time TB has one of these debates, it's that kind of person who takes monica's exact position.  
    I thought this at first too. But then I realized that I also know people who have actually been on public assistance, who have the same attitude as monica. It just doesn't make sense.
    I sorta get how people who do get public assistance get pissed off. 

    It's anger fueled by fear. The fear of the program being abused to the point that there is no money left for anyone. 60 Minutes had report on SSSI/disability program abuse a couple of weeks ago that made my blood go cold.

    There is a high probability that someday Nate will need these programs. If the special needs trust in our wills ran out of money, he could be up shit creek. Those programs need to remain functional AND funded.

    Events like this also add fuel to the no skittles argument.

    It's sad cause I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm under 25 and was brought up in a small conservative town (still live here, too) but I'd never say or even think the shit that she's spewing.

    I live between one of the richest zip codes in America and a few shitty ones. I've seen good and bad shit. Again, most of it not my problem and not helping the ones that made shitty decisions in life.
    My upbringing was all about hard work and earning a living. Not sitting around being lazy bc "I can"
    I said the ones that AREN'T working are the problem. NOT the ones that actually contribute by going to work everyday and earning a living.
    Everyone wants to be Robin Hood, go for it. Not me!

    Eh, people just tend to gain wisdom with age, and empathy with life experience.  She appears to be lacking in all of the above.
