Hi ladies! The hubs and I are looking for a new apt with more space now that we're expecting (we live in chicago). We found a unit that we like, but what would be the nursery faces a brick wall allowing very little natural light in. The room is basically dark unless the lights are on. Does anyone else find this to be a problem?

ETA I've had a bitch of a time finding blackout curtains because TOO much light comes into my DD's room and wakes her up early & makes daytime napping impossible
It's a huge bonus! DS's room has been BLACKED out since birth- it's a perfect cue (and very natural way) to enhance sleep. I can't even see my hand in front of my face and he's slept all night since 2 months. My room is the same lol.

Parks, schools, child friendly area are way more important then a dark room. Which I also think is a mini plus

Another plus to know Windows is that you don't have to worry about blinds, they can be a choking hazard! You also don't have to worry about where you put your crib you can put it anywhere you want!
Our son ended up in our room for the first year anyway and you can always open other windows to keep things it circulating
