For starters I never comment on FFFC because it gets crazy long before 10am. But I have a couple this morning. DD has seen way too many episodes of Criminal Minds because I'm usually off on Mondays and it marathons all day so it's often on in the background. Half the time neither of us are watching it, it's just on.
DH & I plan to TTC starting in April. He even has a countdown on his phone. But my best friend is having a huge bar crawl celebration when she graduates with her Masters in late-May. It's out of town, it's a great college town that I love and it has super cheap bars. I've decided that would be our first weekend away from DD and I plan to be wasted...which means pushing TTCing back until June. I feel bad for pushing back our family planning for a weekend of crazy fun. However I'm really looking forward to a wild weekend away.
Stuck in quote box** That's sweet that he has a countdown in his phone! I would love to get away for a wild weekend.
It's cute and if he had things his way I wouldve been KU once the doc okayed at 6 weeks. It was hard to convince him to wait until next year. But I plan to explain how we can use that weekend as a "kick off celebration" and remove the "goalie" as he calls it.
I wear uggs with leggings or skinny jeans all of the time in the winter. I despise socks.
I don't care how my groceries are packed. Just don't squish my bread or break the eggs.
I don't want to get KU until all of our winter vacations are over. I want to enjoy the freedom of drinking and not having a baby to feed every 2 hours.
My FFFC: I'm lonely. Since becoming a SAH mom, my friendships have fizzled out. I had a lot of co-worker friends that are kid free and we just don't have much in common anymore. Our schedules are totally different know and it sucks. I live in a small town and there are no mom groups around. It's tough. I miss having a girl to talk and gossip with. My H is great but it's just not the same.
I'm so totally judging the mom behind me in this line. In the last thirty minutes, she has fed her maybe 2 year old a chili gel type candy jar and a fun dip. It's only 10:30 in the morning.

Could you start a group? Maybe on Facebook and put fliers up in places moms tend to go? I'm sorry your lonely, sometimes SAH stinks.

Mine is that today is our 10 year anniversary and I woke up early because I am not on CA time yet. Rather than waking my DH up for morning sex I sat on the couch and caught up on TB.
I hate the television show Glee. I hate nearly all musicals. DH was in show choir in high school so our opinions on the topic are very different.
Opposite over here. I LOVE musicals, was in all of them and choir in HS and thought I would love Glee. Watch 2 episodes and wanted to poke my eyes out.

Has the 2 year old been in a line for 30 minutes? She can do what ever the hell she wants to keep that kid happy. I can't imagine the horror of my 2 year old having to stand in a line for over 30 minutes.
lol no. I'm just not big into constantly shirtless dudes. I'd be worried about a stray chest hair showing up on my dinner plate or something (and those things look like pubes. No thanks).
FFFC: I wish it was normal for men to shave their pits.
I just had 3 empanadas and a gigantic cupcake for lunch.

ITA. I judge things like this less and less as a parent of 2. Sometimes, it's just about survival.

I might feel differently about the shirtless if my husband was hairy.

Agreed. But if so, maybe Nyquil or Benadryl would have been a better choice than Fun Dip.
DH does not have chest pubes, so no worries there. He sleeps in his underwear so in the morning he just throws on shorts or sweatpants and stays shirtless until we have somewhere to go.
When he's done working, he takes everything off, including the special shirt under his vest. So yeah, unless there is company over or we're getting ready to go somewhere, he is shirtless.
This. And I'm totally fine with it. H isn't hairy, and he looks pretty great shirtless.
DH hates being shirtless unless he is outside (at the pool/lake/beach). It always strikes me as odd. My brothers never wore shirts if they could avoid it and I thought that was just the norm with guys.
I am going to go through my closet this weekend and I decided I am going to bring most of my old clothes to a consignment shop so I can get a little bit of money for them.
I know I should donate them but I have to buy a ton of new clothes for my new job which only allows me to wear skirts. I currently own 1.
wait. You HAVE to wear skirts? What is your new job?

Cow milker on the Duggar family farm.
LMAO, I just saw this after I replied with something similar.
DH leaves Sunday for a business trip, and I feel like I have to psych myself up for 2 weeks as a single parent. I know this makes me a really big whiner considering the number of people who are always single parents or who have a spouse deployed or whatever.
H gets home tonight after being gone for a week. I thought I'd lose a bunch of weight while he was gone, because he's a bad influence...but I gained weight. Stress eating sucks. I literally just inhaled a bagel with ham, egg & cheese.
I always think DH will come back to a super svelte version of me, but instead I find myself snacking after the kids go to bed :-/
Also. I can't understand how separate dress codes for genders is legal.
But then again, I work a super liberal University... our department just had to change our document to 'attire policy' because 'dress' could be offensive to someone.
not kidding, sadly.
Hasn't been that long that my bank stopped requiring suits for men and skirts/hose for women. I don't think of it as different, more that business attire didn't include pants for women and didn't include skirts for men.

I don't know. I think of it as an equivalent to having the male employees wear shirts and ties.
4th FFFC for today? I think grown men without chest hair are a little strange. I get being just not naturally hairy but men that shave/wax their chests? That's weird to me. DH has chest hair, but not an obscene amount or anything. My old roommate is gay and shaves his, which I know is common in the gay community, but for the average straight, non-stripper dude it's weird.
I was so tired in the shower this morning that I only shaved my stripe on my arm, I forgot what I was doing and didn't finish the rest. Oh yeah, I shave my arms, I don't like my arms to be hairy at all.
DH isn't super hairy and thankfully he's has light hair so it isn't as noticeable but as the years have gone on it's got a bit thicker. He like so to say he "manscapes" every once in a while. Including ummm, down there. "If you trim the bushes around the deck, the deck looks bigger." Yep his motto. He also isn't one to walk around without a shirt on. My dad used to walk around with out one on so I'm used to it either way.
I just had 3 empanadas and a gigantic cupcake for lunch.
Like the one your DD has in your siggy? If not, I don't judge. :-)
____________
Ha! No. That would make me feel more sick than I do now. It was from Crumbs, which makes notoriously big cupcakes.

Thanks! It was for a position in the international legal department in a company. It went well, but I'm not sure it was for me though. Traveling to Saudi Arabia, Mexico City, Panama, etc sounds cool but not by myself and I'm a pretty confident traveler.

I find this weird. Maybe that's a fffc.
Most people do, I started doing it in college and I like it! Try it yo! You just might like it!

I used to. But I hated that arm stubble too much.
Does it grow back thicker?
And yeah 1) I'm too lazy 2) I would hate to get razor bumps on my arms and 3) hairless arms just seems a little strange to me. My male boss has hairless forearms (not sure why) and it completely creeps me out.

I wish I had the time/ energy to keep up with my legs, underarms and vag. I don't think my hot water tank could handle if I tried adding in another body part to shave.

Amen. I go an embarassingly long time between shaving my legs. DH hasn't said anything, so whateves.

Thanks @cheeseandrice !
It's not so bad. I used to go to Tijuana, Juarez, and China. I imagine it would suck having a LO waiting at home for you though!
it's just a myth that your hair grows back faster/thicker whatever from waxing or shaving. Total myth. Think about it logically..I've been shaving my legs for the better part of 18 years here. I'd be a yetti if that were the case.
Also, when I worked at the spa I waxed my arms a few times if students needed last minute models or something. @willy_gert is right, it's pretty awesome. I work with a chick who has more hair and longer hair on her arms than my DH or my Dad ever did. It's so creepy. I'm so distracted by it, even when we have meetings over telepresence i find myself staring at it.
