@kdsmith43 - You would hate my house! I am the QUEEN of mismatched picture frames! I love having lots of pictures out because we never had them in my house when I was growing up. Not sure why...it's just not something my parents did. I will match them when they're grouped together as a decorative set, but I also have a bookcase with 3 solid shelves of just pictures in all kinds of frames. It's one of my favorite things in my house.
____________
I do this too! I have picture frames everywhere.

I just hung up picture of the baby for the first time righ before her party. I am not good at decorating and printing and finding frames. I hate it actually.
I love having lots of pictures of us in our house. It's better than Kohl's art.
Then again, I have a lot of weird sentimental shit in my house, got that trait from my momma.
I like entertaining and I like my house but my anxiety always convinces me that it's smelly, dirty, too small, etc.
Totally agree. I feel like it's different when you have a family. I should clarify. SIL and BIL have no children yet do seasonal photographs together. Their home and MIL/FIL home is filled to the brim of photos of them; just seems very narcissistic.
My DH and I had our 9th anniversary this week. We literally did nothing. Not even cards or dinner (DS1 had a soccer game after work so we weren't even home until 8-ish).
The FFFC part? I'm ok with it. We are both pretty affectionate people so we do small things for each other often. We are going to go away for a long weekend in Nov (no kids) so we could call that an "anniversary trip" right?!?!
On a somewhat related note - our janitorial staff is a company that only hires peoples with disabilities (physical and mental). They are considered excepted and have been in the office every day since the shutdown.
FFFC? I love having cleaner bathrooms now that they are still getting cleaned twice a day with only a 1/4 of the people using them and will be sad when the shutdown is over and people come back to work.

My kitchen and bathrooms are disgusting. I'm not even going to pretend I clean these on the regular. They get cleaned when I feel motivated enough to do it OR when I know someone is coming over which is, thankfully, never.

I think DH has brainwashed me. When we first got together and I wanted to hang pictures of ourselves up he said no, that he couldn't stand that when he went to other people's homes. He said it seems so vain to have pictures of yourself all over the place. After a while, I convinced him to hang a couple up, but that's it; everything else is art. Now it's turned into my pet peeve when I go to someone's house and all of their frames are pictures of themselves as a couple.
I would probably side-eye if you have tons of photos of JUST the two of you. Other than wedding pics, very few of mine are just me and DH. Most of them are family and friends - with or without us in them. Obviously now the new ones are DD or DD and family.
Oh I have another. I secretly eye roll when I see parents who get super creative with their kids food and cut it into elaborate shapes and designs. Low and behind, I bought a dinosaur shapes sandwich cutter and surprised DS with a special sandwich in his lunch. He LOVED it and I was quite proud of myself.

I do this too. Then I make it all awkward by pointing out the thing that bothers me the most. "Oh, don't mind my carpets, they are getting replaced this winter!" or something like that.

I'm worried that we drag Kate around too much. Between now and Christmas we are going to send her to Granny's house for two weekends away (one in Nov. one in Dec.). We are going away as a family for Thanksgiving. We are spending the night with our ILs and taking her to tailgate at Purdue in a few weeks and we are going to Florida after Christmas for 10 days. Add that to the fact that she's in the car 1.5 hours everyday and I feel like she never just gets to stay in one place.
DH is a hairy beast monster. He is rarely shirtless because of it. When he is shirtless, L sits in his lap and pulls the hair. I think it is hysterical, DH, not so much.

FFFC: I hate the way I look in 95% of pictures, including my wedding photos. I am horribly unphotogenic and cringe most of the time I see myself in a photo. Chances are that any pic I post of me on FB or IG is take 7 out of 14 or something like that.
And yes, I just quoted myself because on my work computer I can't go back and edit my posts. Something about either he privacy settings or the adblocker doesn't give me the option.
I only have 1 photo of our wedding up with me in it. I was at my highest weight ever the day we got married (well, not ever because I lost 5lbs that week from stress) and hate the way I looked.
There are so few pictures of me with my child that it is sad.

I used to side eye that but really, it's just one extra step to get out that shape cookie cutter. Plus, doing that is faster than removing all the crusts.
This is me guilty as charged. I'm not crafty at all and don't have tons of $$$ to throw at holiday decorations (who does, right?) BUT I can make bananas, cheese and mangos look like a giant piece of candy corn damn it! Plus, it makes me happy...DD doesn't know what hell is going on.

In her first 9 months of life, Hannah had been to Florida 3 times, and Cape May once. In a few weeks she's spending the weekend with my ILs while we go out of town to celebrate our anniversary, and then she's off to the Bahamas, followed by Florida again, and then New Orleans, and then Florida. I think our kids will survive.
No Spend October has thus far been pretty easy. When I added up how much we could save from this paycheck alone I don't think I'll be spending money ever again! We have not bought one thing besides a dinner out that we had to have (out of town). Other than that it's been all groceries and gas. I guess that's more of an AW.
FFFC: I get really pissed off at my mom when she complains her and my dad don't have any money. We pay her for DC and I know how much my dad makes, a bit more than DH (they work at the same company.) They have money it's just she's terrible with it. My dad has no clue the amount of CC debt they have. I get so mad when she complains then comes home with this new and that new. She'll buy really nice clothes yet be in sweats all day because she watches DS. Plus her closet is already full of nice clothes from working just 1 year ago!

Me too. Although I have been known to use a Mickey Mouse cutter on some food. But I maintain that's different from creating an entire lunch that looks like a soccer field or some sh*t.

I have like one photo of me with DD in the delivery room and weeks after she was born. I had Bell's Palsy and it was horrible. It makes me sad that I don't have those photos.
I wear leggings with shirts that don't cover my ass. They aren't thin enough to show any skin, and you can't see panty lines, so I wear them like pants. They make my ass look fabulous. Deal with it.

I love that you own this. I'm a hater...but I work/live in a college town and have to see firm tushies constantly...so perhaps I'm a big jaded.

I'm a hater because most of the women that I see wear this 'trend' do not have asses built for wearing tights/leggings as pants.

I just had to call the custodian to report a clogged toilet. I did not clog it, but I won't be able to use that bathroom the rest of the day if it's not unclogged. I'm embarrassed that they may think it was me and I'm guessing that is why no one else reported it. I had to leave a message and did not leave my name, but I'm pretty sure our message system adds my name onto my message if I leave a voice mail for someone else in the building.
I just listened to the hot dog song for the first time. I have my niece who just turned 2 and she hasn't stopped crying. In order to keep the baby happy and off my niece I turned the TV on.

I have to veto so many cute pictures of DD to post because of nipples. DH is always shirtless and his nipples always seem to make an appearance in pictures. Sometimes I still post them, but I try to not post his nipples all day every day.
This except replace "nipples" with "jean shorts". Why, DH? Why?
I haven't been to the dentist in a loooong time out of pure laziness.
My son watches way too much tv at home. Thank goodness he's at DC for most of the week.

I think this is good for kids! She's going to a lot of events with you guys, or staying at her grandparents-- it's not like oh one weekend we are leaving her at the fire station, the next, our creepy neighbor, etc. It's good to get them out of the house to experience new things and different surroundings!

Guilty! Love leggings.
I also wear them with uggs, and no I am not 21. (I did ditch the unreasonably short jean skirt though...)
I hate that I am such a big baby. I really want to watch the new season of American Horror Story, but I don't think it's a good idea. My husband works nights - he's gone 4 nights a week. I will sleep even worse than I already do and have a heart attack with every little noise.
Im annoyed my husband will be gone all weekend. Passive aggressive move of the week: DH is going to help plant for hunting season this weekend. He will be staying in a camper with 2 other guys. I baked a double batch of bran muffins for them. Three men eating bran muffins, and one toilet in a camper. Have fun honey!

I too, wear them with Uggs in the winter. They are cozy, you don't have to wear socks with them, and there's no fastening, tying, zipping involved. I still occasionally wear the ones that I wore in college.
1) 97% of the reason I go to the gym is to get a morning shower in peace, 2% is to get away from DD for an hour, 1% for the actual workout.
2) DH wants us to go apple/pumpkin picking with his work friends this weekend. I think it's weird that they (all single) want to hang out with a toddler. We are only going because I feel bad that he is only at home for like 10 days this month.

To add to being home alone today - I should be busting my ass to get my house clean so DH and Kate and I can enjoy out 3 day weekend together. But...I'm dragging. Got to go clean now!!
Oh I have another, I Freaking love 'Peg + Cat' on PBS, I have changed the flow of our mornings so I can watch part of it. DD has yet to look at the TV.
