To add or not to ... "The registry chaos" !! Help !!

All you Mommas .... Ok ..so I've never done any kinda registry before and my baby shower is not until mid Nov. I am on my 23rd week already and planning to get the nursery and all the shopping done ASAP ( end of oct?! ). How on earth do I sort things out and how would I know whether to put it on the registry or just go ahead and buy ( not wait till my Shower) . Please help ...ESP. STM's !!! Thanks much. !

    You're really jumping the gun on the shopping.  Allow people to celebrate your life event with you by buying you gifts. It's a joy to your friends and family.  You will still have plenty of time after your November shower to buy whatever else you want.

    Also, my advice is don't be shy about putting stuff on the registry.  Several stores offer completion coupons, so after your shower, add diapers and just about anything else - then when you check out with your coupon, you get an additional 10 percent off.  You will probably want to review a few blogs to see what the typical things to add to a registry are.  You'll want to go to the store, view, and research your car seat and stroller and crib.  However, you should put those items on your registry after you've selected what you what because your granny or a few family members may want to buy you a big ticket item. And you should let them - it makes them happy to do so.

    My advice is don't put too many bottles or pacifiers on your registry.  My son liked a particular nipple, and you better believe that any other kind offered was refused. You can't know that type of thing until baby is here, and Yes! babies are picky.

    and kudos to you for getting everything done early... I'm due at the end of January, and I haven't even started the registry... oops!

    This. Whatever you don't get you can buy, or maybe use a gift card you get to buy
