TTGP IF WEEKLY CHECK IN

This check in is meant for anyone on TTGP who has hit the 1 year mark of TTC (6 months if you’re over 35), has an infertility diagnosis, or are going through IF testing/treatment. It is meant to be a place for people to share and ask any questions who might not participate on 3T or IF who would like the company of others going through the same experiences.

If you would like to participate, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE with your info and I will add you on, and please feel free to post your intro. This will be posted every Monday morning, AKST. If you have any suggestions or would like something added, please feel free to post.

Hi everyone!

So I have my HSG scheduled tomorrow morning, but I don't know at this point if we'll do it. My cycle was very fucked up this month, so my doctor will decide after examining me.

I wasn't able to do my CD3 bw too as I never knew when CD1 really was. UGH so over this shit. I really want to do at least one IUI before Christmas.

Other than that, we're putting our house on the market tomorrow!

QOTW: Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas? Christmas, no contest! I hate dressing up for Halloween and Canadian Thanksgiving suck. I love everything that has to do with Christmas!

Morning ladies!

I had my SHG this morning - suffice it to say, it was brutal. The cramping has simmered down a bit now, but I feel overall crappy. But no blockages, everything looks good, so yay for that!

This cycle I did Letrozole 7.5mg over 3 days. I have a 1cm-ish follie on both the right and left this morning, I go back Thurs for monitoring (that's all I could remember, I was feeling shitty). Dr. R said that should be getting close to O time. I have to say, I'm glad there's no pressure tonight, I would be really happy to have nothing else up my vag today.

Any updates? We go back to the RE tomorrow morning to go over all of our test results and put a treatment plan in place! I'm totally freaking out. DH and I discussed *ALL* of the possible outcomes this weekend so that we would be on the same page depending on the actual results. I think in a way it comforted me because I know we feel the same way, but at the same time, I was doing a pretty good job not thinking about the worst case scenarios and now that's all I can think about...The thing that worries me the most is the possibility of DH being a CF carrier. I know the chances are slim, but I thought the same thing when they did the testing on me and I turned out to be a carrier.

QOTW: Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas? Halloween!! Always been my favorite. We have a big party every year and I'm so sad to be missing out on it this year since our house is a construction zone right now.

AFM, not tons to report. Waiting for COBRA to update my insurance so that we can get approval for the lap still. Hopefully we can get that scheduled this week.

QOTW: Christmas is definitely my favorite. We all still go to my mom's house the night before & wake up to the sounds of her horrible singing & the smell of her cooking quiche & lost bread for breakfast. We'll miss Christmas this year, but will be there for Thanksgiving which is almost as good

Hi! I'm on CD3. Which means our injects + first IUI was a bust. Bummer. Taking a treatment break this cycle because we are leaving in 10 days for Nashville, TN.

QOTW: I love Christmas. Decorating, music, cheesy movies, shopping.. love it all!

Just playing the waiting game for my period. Almost done with Provera, so its not usually far behind. In other news, the 2 pregnant girls in my office keep complaining to me about them about being "fat". I'm the last person you should complain to.

I start stims tonight for IVF #2, my monitoring appointments start next monday (I also have my intra lipid infusion monday), and my estimated ER is a week from friday. This is where it all starts to get fun.

QOTW: Christmas x1000! I love everything about Christmas- Christmas trees, Christmas music, Christmas parties, Christmas cookies... the only thing I hate is wrapping Christmas presents. I want my presents to be pretty with bows and ribbons. Mostly I am lucky to get paper on all of my presents.

@jaytee16 - I'm sorry that it was painful, but I'm so glad that everything looks good. That's great news!!!

Updates: Nothing really. I'm 9 dpo on my second-post lap cycle. I was feeling pretty good this morning because my chart looks decent, but my usual PMS symptoms really picked up around lunchtime. It's like as soon as you admit that you're feeling good, your body just smacks you back into your place. Now I'm feeling a little deflated, but we'll see what happens. We made an appointment with our RE for the end of October to discuss our options in case this cycle and the next one are failures.

QOTW: I can only pick one? Usually I say "the Holiday Season" which, for me, means Thanksgiving through Christmas. I love, love Thanksgiving and the food, but I also love Christmas decorations and music and baking. I don't care for Halloween.

All my test came back normal and looking good! My HSG went pretty smoothly and I only had some mild cramps. (unblocked tubes

)

I am patiently waiting for the results of my DH 2nd SA. I called the RE office friday hoping the results were in, but yhey were sitting on the RE's desk. Called today and still stitting there and he is off. grrrrrr!

QOTW: This year Christmas, because we are going to Couples Barbados for Christmas and our 15 year anniversary. (Dec 23). Woohoo for being away from all the craziness of the holiday this year.

Our IUI was cancelled because I didn't have any mature follies at my mid-cycle u/s and I took it pretty hard. I was on 200mg of Clomid this cycle, which is double the dosage from previous cycles and the side effects were really harsh. RE wants to move on to injectibles, but I'm not sure I'm ready to go there. We leave next week for a 10 day vacation, and AF is due sometime during vacay (oh yay). Since we won't be able to do baseline monitoring, we've decided to skip next cycle. The cycle after that should start around Thanksgiving, and we've decided to skip that one as well because I don't want to start injects during the holidays.

We're officially on a TTC break until at least January. Honestly, I didn't realize how stressed I was until we decided to take a break and now I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. We've decided to focus on both of us losing weight; we've been looking at bikes; and we've been discussing a spring trip to Italy. I think we may take 6 months off from TTC to just see what happens and re-evaluate next Spring.

I'm sorry you didn't respond to clomid. Enjoy your break and I hope it will give you the time you need to destress, lose the weight you want to lose, and have fun in Italy.

This is our 24th cycle TTC, and I just had my 3rd IUI on Friday. Ive never gotten a BFP, and I keep trying to imagine what that must be like. And so...we wait. *sigh*

I forgot to answer the QOTW: I love Christmas so much that Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It's the start of the Christmas season and everyone is so full of excitement! Christmas itself can be a little bit of a let down when all the parties are over!

Are you currently doing any testing or treatment? Metformin at 2000mg/day. I need to be more consistent with taking my pills. I am also in the process of weaning.

Any updates? No new update. We have amped up our baby making skills from once a week to every three days. As we wean I am going to start temping. I can't wait to start obsessing over temps.

QOTW: Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas? Christmas. I love the meaning of Christmas more, it's just a special time of year.

Nothing new to report for us yet. I have a phone follow-up with the RE on Wednesday. I'm hoping he can help me with my short LP (7-9 days) ASAP because I want to try to do everything we can to try to conceive this month or next. Fingers crossed.

but Thanksgiving is right behind it.

I'm pretty happy overall though because on Thursday my SO proposed. I kinda knew it was happening (but not exactly when) because we've been talking about it for a while and I knew he'd had the talk with my dad. Plus my mom gave him her rings because I've always loved them. My mom doesn't wear them (even though mom and dad are still together) because her health is poor and she's gotten pretty frail. Dad's actually donating a kidney to her this year

so the ring is really special to me. QOTW: Christmas for sure. I don't have any family in this province but my FI's family is so welcoming, they always make me feel at home. First time writing FI! Ha ha. For real - how do you get paragraphs on an iPad?

Get ladies,

Sorry I was swamped at work and couldn't get here.

Nothing new. Been a rough month for us with death and sickness. My kidneys have been an issue for a while now. I have had reoccurring infections and was finally referred to a urologist. Passed a stone and will be on a low dose pregnancy safe antibiotic for at least 6 months.

I'm on CD 29, expecting AF any day. I'll test if I am a week "late". But I'm not going to make it there.

I think I am going to have the lap in The next couple months. I just don't know.

QOTW: Christmas but I like it to start the day after Thanksgiving (or day of) and end Christmas night. I am over the clutter by then!

Good news though, everything is normal!
