My RE just called with the 2nd SA results. The first SA was read at the hospital and my DH had to travel a half hour with his boys. This time he did it at the RE office.
New Results:
Motility 75%
Sperm Count 17 million
Old Results:
Motility 17%
Sperm Count 32 or 35 million
His test flipped flopped, but the RE likes these results better. He had me write down some vitamins for DH to start taking. Has anyone had this happen with a SA?
TTC since May/June 2012
Sept 2013 testing:
SA #1 Low motility (17%)
SA #2 Lower sperm count, but much higher motility

Omg that shit HURT!! I'm verry tolerant toward pain, but now I can't sit!! Good news though, everything is normal! We'll go ahead with a monitored medicamented cycle next month!
DH (32): SA is ok, slightly low morph, normal SCSA Me (32): Slightly low progesterone, hostile CM, carrier for CF, Moderately high NKC, High TNFa, heterozyogous mutated Factor XIII, and +APA
October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
@EmeJay - I'm so glad that everything looks normal! Hope you're feeling better soon!
@cls78 - That sounds like a decent SA to me! The count is low, but it's still in the normal range and the high motility is great. I can't remember my H's second SA results exactly, but I know that the count nearly tripled while the motility and morphology dropped. He was just taking a regular men's multivitamin between his tests.
Had our RE appointment this morning to go over all of our testing results - RE confirmed prior diagnosis of annovulatory PCOS, but she also added insulin resistant boo. But, because my numbers were so borderline, she's letting me start with additional dietary changes before adding met to the mix.
DH's genetic tests came back and he is NOT a CF carrier! OMFG I wanted to hug my RE right then and there. Huge weight lifted off our shoulders! His SA was also fantastic! RE didn't give exact numbers, but she raved for a few minutes on how wonderful his numbers were...as if DH's ego isn't big enough
Because my insurance covers absolutely nothing, we're starting with Clomid + HCG +TI as soon as CD 1 shows up. If CD 1 doesn't arrive by October 16th, she's going to start me on Provera to get the ball rolling.

Feb 2014 - Femara + Trigger + IUI #4 = BFP!!!!! Beta #1 - 3/2/14 (15dpo) - 123 Beta #2 - 3/4/14 (17dpo) - 378 1st ultrasound - 3/21/14 - 1 little ninja, heartbeat - 120bpm Due November 7, 2014
What is the normal range for a SA? I googled and see 2 different things... some sites say 15 million and under others 20 million and under is considered low.

Hey Ladies - I am 14DPO and 16DPtrigger and I have had three mornings of BFFFFFFNs. Boo. I am not waiting for AF but am scared that it's going to be awhile. I will probably call RE on Friday if it's still not here.
Protocol for next cycle will probably be the same thing; Femara stair-step with 5mg and 7.5mg with trigger and TI.
QOTW: Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas? CHRISTMAS. I already have the Fir candles burning with blankets and red wine in my house. It's the most wonderful time of the year
