When I am done shopping, I load DD in the car first, followed by shopping bags, then I lock the car while I run to put the cart away. It makes me wonder, is it wrong to walk away from your child to put your cart back? I always try to park close to the rack, but it isn't always possible. It makes me curious as to what you all do?

Re: Target carts, yo.
I worry about that too- I usually park the cart next to my car so she isn't sticking out at all. She watches me put groceries in the trunk then I walk her in the cart to the corral- carry her back and buckle her in.

DD Born August 16, 2012
Omg, not so much now, but I can totally relate from when DS was a newborn, those 3 seconds of feeling like I didn't have a baby to take care of...until I opened my door. DS was a big crier for the first few months of his life
I strap in Liam and C gets in and gets buckled while I put away the groceries. I also have a fear of kidnapping or car crashes while he's in there and I'm distracted. I leave them both in the car for a total of 10 seconds while I put the cart back. If its too far away, I'm sorry, but I leave it by my car. I don't mind walking a few feet away, but not gonna cross the parking lot to put a cart back. Its a cart placed back vs my kids. I'm choosing my kids. This post was very productive in annoying both the people who don't put their kids in the car right away and the people who always put carts back.
lol!
