L doesn't have long enough hair for anything but headbands but she will not leave them on for very long. It's so annoying!! I have a little headband/hair clip business and I can't keep them on my own child. She's not much of an advertiser for me :-)

DD born 8/13 Perfect in every way!!
She did for the longest time, but now we're about 50/50. If I can distract her quick enough, she forgets it's there. A bow, anyway. Hats and headbands are removed immediately.
Not really. Sometimes a headband will be approved but she usually rips everything off. I just bought some hair pomade to try and keep her cowlicky fringe out of her eyes. I hope it works.
DD won't wear any of them. If we distract her right after putting a clip or band on she will leave it for maybe 20mins tops before pulling it off. But then she tries to put it right back in. Silly girl.
Headbands slip off, but DD LOVES bows! She has a ribbon of all the clippy bows on her closet door and she likes to pick them out. She also has tons of hair, so I put a pony tail in her hair and then clip the bow to it.
She did when she was small but now she won't keep anything in but a hair tie that is either in one or pigtails. DD has a lot of hair so at least she keeps something in.
I wish she'd keep barretts in! Or anything forthat matter. She's got long bangs that get in her eyes. But not quite long enough to push behind her ears. Like pp my dd will pull them out and then pretend to put it back in her hair. So maybe there is hope fore yet!

Baby Girl # 1
TTC Since January 2009
Reproductive Endocrinologist diagnosed us "Unexplained Infertility".
After 3 years . . . 3 IUIs . . . and 3 IVFs . . . our miracle GIRL arrived on August 6, 2012.
Baby Girl # 2 TTC Since June 2013 Got pregnant on our own without Fertility Treatments - January 2016! Thank you snow storm Jonas! EDD 10/15/16 At 20-week anatomy scan found IUGR (Intrauterine Growth Restriction), and very low Amniotic Fluid. Now, I'm High Risk and have weekly ultrasounds to monitor fluid and growth. If baby runs out of room or is too growth restricted, they will deliver ASAP. My current goal is to make it to 28 weeks!
Nope she has it on for most 5 to 10 seconds and then she pulls them out or off. She does try to put them on the cat however so I still have hope for her.
I sweep her hair to the side with a bow every day, because it's well past her nose, but not quite long enough to stay tucked behind her ear. She keeps them in mostly. She's started taking them out in the carseat, but I just put it back in when we get to our destination & she's good. She doesn't like me doing pigtails, but I can manage to get them in if I do it while she's eating.
Re: Moms of girls
it's sad. I have all these pretty bows and headbands and no one to put them on
I guess I'll save them for her dolls when she's older. haha
Bows that clip in: Mostly. If she is occupied, it'll stay in for an hour. In the carseat or high chair, it becomes a toy.
What I generally do if I need her hair to look good for an extended period of time is a ponytail or pigtails.

This was yesterday:
She will still wear headbands and occasionally she will leave a clip or two in her hair.
