I’m 4 weeks pregnant and my dog barked like a madman at midnight, woke me up, and I jumped out of bed in a crazy fright. Turns out she had only been hearing a doorbell on the tv.
My heart was racing and I lost my breath for a minute and I triggered some cramps (not super painful and they kinda are easily triggered in my opinion) for maybe a minute (I’ve been cramping a ton regardless).
No bleeding or spotting.
I felt totally fine within like 2 minutes, other than being super emotionally frustrated and upset.
Can a sudden Brief shock like this cause a miscarriage? Im feeling really anxious now.

Re: Hot button topic...vaccinations.
Vaccines do not cause autism. It doesn't matter what you believe. It doesn't matter what you saw. It doesn't matter that this is what you've thought for years. There have been many, many studies on this. The only study with a link was FAKED.
THERE IS NO LINK.
I don't want your darn kids to get sick from a preventable disease for a few reasons. One, it's not their fault their vaccinated on a delayed schedule, and two, I don't want it spread around to others who may have not vaccinated for actual medical reasons.
No one wants sick or dead kids. That's kind of why people get so mad when parents choose not to vaccinate for dumbass reasons.
No way. You've repeatedly discussed your brother and his autism and the MMR vaccine. I could quote each mention, but I'm feeling lazy.
You've said it was "too coincidental" that his symptoms showed up right after the vaccine and that you've believed it your whole life and tried to use the fact that he got it at an unusual time as proof.
That's not mentioning it once.
And yes, when you spew misinformation like it's true, people will not let it go and will hammer away at it. We don't want someone to come here to do their "vaccine research" and think your idiotic comments are accurate.
You also keep calling us aggressive and whining that we don't accept opinions but only scientific research. Since I haven't threatened you, and so haven't been aggressive, I chose to roll my eyes and ignore that. And yes, I ignore opinions in favor of actual research.

Look how many kids are dying from disease that we don't die from because of VACCINES!!! Half a million from measles. Another half a million from influenza. Another half a million from rotavirus! Another half a million from tetanus and pertussis. And all your kid has to do is fall on a rusty nail to get tetanus! And that is a really fracking painful disease that inflicts an insane amount of suffering. It's not just a little lock jaw. It can kill! You are signing a damn death sentence when you don't vaccinate your kid! It's ignorant and it's irresponsible!

"THURSDAY, April 11 (HealthDay News) -- The death from chickenpox of an otherwise healthy 15-year-old Ohio girl should remind parents of the importance of vaccination against the disease, U.S. health officials reported Thursday.
The teenager was admitted to the hospital with severe chickenpox, also known as varicella, and died three weeks later because of serious complications, according to a case study provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
"Varicella can be deadly, even in seemingly normal individuals," said Dr. Kenneth Bromberg, director of the Vaccine Research Center and chairman of pediatrics at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City.
"It is likely that death would have been prevented with prior vaccination," he said."
I'm late to the party and I'm sure this has already been said, but I'm going to say it just to make sure.
Most of the time chicken pox is just miserable for young children. Sometimes, it's deadly. I truly, honest to God almost died from chicken pox when I was about 3. I wasn't just sick, the drs were preparing my family for my death.
So yes, it absolutely can be a big deal.
