I called my OB's office about this a couple of weeks ago, they had me come in to do a urine culture and that was negative (I assume, because they never called back). Last night it started getting really bad again. I was almost in tears. This morning I still don't have any relief. It feels like I have to pee all. the. time. and it HURTS. If anything actually accumulates in my bladder, like heaven forbid I sit through a one-hour meeting without peeing, it's agony.
I called and left another message this morning because I'm still not convinced it's not an infection of some kind.
I know baby is sitting really low, could it just be pressure on my bladder? Do I have to live with this for 2 more months??
Any suggestions, ideas appreciated. Anyone else have this in current or previous pregnancies?
Update: Dropped off another sample, they did a dipstick test and that was negative but they're sending it off for culture anyway. They think it might be bladder spasms, for which as far as I can tell the treatment is 'suck it up, loser!'. So who knows. They said to drink lots of water (thanks, that makes it worse) and see what happens in the next day or so. If it gets worse I have to go back in.

@SweetSouthernMama08 Nope but I'll try anything at this point! It's almost nothing, just a trickle.

I have a ton of pressure, and it feels like I always have to pee. But I have no actual pain.
I would keep calling the dr and maybe try to drink a ton of extra water to flush everything out. But that would also depend on the pain I was in. The extra water may just put you in more pain. Good luck and I it gets better soon!
Ive basically had to pee every hour for the past 29 weeks. I've tried SSM trick of actually picking up my bump to reposition LO. It doesn't always work but it will usually buy me a little time until my next bathroom break.

I would try a support belt and drinking copious amounts of water. They also have kits at Target and drugstores that will test the pH levels to determine if you have some sort of infection, including a UTI. A baby chilling out right on top of your bladder could also be the culprit of your symptoms. Hopefully they resolve soon either way.
Sounds like a bad UTI, maybe even a kidney infection if it has gotten bad enough (I have had this happen several times, it sounds just like what you're describing and sucks SO badly!). Agree with PP about trying to drink some cranberry juice to see if that helps, but definitely follow up with your doc again!

This.
My first thought was a prolapse -- have they checked for that? It's not very common in FTMs, though. I'd call again in any case -- It sounds unbearable!
Urethritis which can be from an infection or not will cause those symptoms too, sometimes it's just irritation of your "pee tube"...May need similar treatment as for uti. Agree with cranberry and yogurt and TONS of water to flush it out!
Sorry Boots I've had UTIs before and they definitely felt like what you're describing. I agree with PPs who said keep calling your OB until they let you come in for a culture. I hope you can get an answer today.

I have constant pressure and fullness in my bladder. I will also get some fairly sharp pains when the baby kicks my bladder, but mine isn't as bad as what you're describing. I hope they can get you fixed up soon!
@bootsorhearts I had these exact symtoms and my urine kept coming back clean. Did they do an exam? It turned out I had a BV infection. I can tell you it was so painful. I would pester your doc to actually look down there and do a culture. I had a yeast infection as well after that caused very similar symptoms.
It could be baby sitting on your bladder but sounds more like an infection. I doubt there is anything horribly wrong; it sucks that your OB office us being so stupid about it. Hope you feel better.
I know everyone has covered all the points, but I just wanted to say I am sorry you're suffering right now! I've only had a UTI once in my life, and I will never forget that pain. Razor blades when you try to pee? Yeah, I remember that. I truly hope you get some relief soon... And definitely, DEFINITELY drink some cranberry juice, (on top of going to the doc, obv.)
Also: if it is a bladder infection, you can try the cranberry as suggested, but you need 100% cran, preferably with no sugar (and this is super hard to find; it's usually mixed with apples which really won't help you). Try some rephresh probiotics tabs instead, and acidophilus if you can find some.

This. I've found the 100% cranberry at Whole Foods or the health food section of regular grocery stores. It's usually concentrated, needs to be mixed with some water and tastes pretty gross, but it can provide some fairly quick relief for a UTI (if that's what you're dealing with) until you get things sorted out with the doctor.

Exactly this. Also, see if your doctor can run other tests (besides for a UTI), in case it is something else. If you're still in pain, and hardly able to go but feeling like you have to go, something in your gut (no pun intended) is telling you something. Don't let them ignore it!
Hopefully you can find some relief soon...I really hope you feel better!
Sorry that you still don't have any answers. I would still try the maternity support belt and staying in whatever position takes some of the pressure off of your bladder. I dealt with symptoms very similar to interstitial cystitis after having DS1. It is painful, frustrating and disheartening. I am really sorry you are dealing with this.

You can also cut it with some apple juice to sweeten it a bit, if that helps. Personally, I like to just glug it down, though.

Have they still not done a vaginal exam?
Nope.

Is the baby head down by chance? If baby is head down could it be he is just smacking your bladder with his head?
He's butt down, so it's possible he's kicking it. . . . .

Wow. I would really push them to do that. Plenty of infections do not show up in your pee. They should do a swab. I'm feeling a little judgy at them. Sorry this has sucked so much :-/
I've been feeling like this every now and then. I started adding the Azo brand cranberry pills in with my other vitamins. Seems to be helping.
Be careful with Azo, it's not always recommended while pregnant/breastfeeding.
It isn't the Azo that is meant for uti pain relief, ie the stuff that turns your urine orange. This is just the Azo BRAND cranberry supplement. Same as drinking the pure cranberry juice without making your face twist up.
