dx with anovulatory PCOS 2005
off bcp 11/11
a few rounds of clomid and femara... no response.
injectables/IUI 12/12... BFN
Feb 13 IVF cycle converted down to IUI due to low follicle response... BFFN
one last IVF attempt April/May 2013: 19 retrieved. 10 fertilized. 2 transferred in a 3dt. 4 frosties... BFP!!
EDD: 1/21/14... Induced early at 36+6. Our little girl was born 12/30/13
Love seeing all the names, but it's not helping my selection process!! We are far from choosing, but our top contenders have been Knox, Henry, and Lincoln. We're back and forth on the first two mainly, but I keep thinking there's a name on the tip of my tongue I just don't know it yet. Way harder naming our boy.
Might I suggest Henry Lincoln?
That would probably be DH's top choice. I love Knox the most.. we were thinking Lincoln Knox, go by Knox. But I'm just not sold on anything! We like the K because DH's name begins with a K too. My and DD begin with H, as well as our last name. SO.. I might should add.. we may wait to meet him before we decide. I'm just scared we still won't know.
We are still undecided but we have a few we like... • Oliver (this is our favorite right now. My sister's name is Olivia so he would be named after her. She's his godmother) • Jax • Nico MN will most likely be Zachary after my SO
Her nickname will be Renie, which was my grandmother (Irene)'s nickname. Also, the fact that her initials will be SIG would make my dad - the firearms collector - chuckle.
partial molar pregnancy : bfp 6.28.10, d/c 8.17.10, 7 rounds methotrexate, cleared 7.1.11 alexander patrick : bfp 1.16.12, born 9.20.12 @ 39w1d, 7 lbs./11 oz./22 in. scarlett irene elizabeth : bfp 5.24.13, born 2.3.14 @ 41w2d, 7 lbs./13 oz./19 in.
My choices (because I cannot get him to talk about it) are:
Girl: Elizabeth Darlene Alexandra (MN's are family names)
Boy: Ezra Lyall Robert (again MN's are family names)
Loving life with two boys who are 10 months apart and can't wait for team green baby to join us and thinking daily about our angel who was with us for a very short time. (CP at 4 weeks and 5 days)
YAY Brynn! We had the hardest time picking a middle name for her too because all of our family names were either one syllable (so they didn't sound that great with Brynn) or they started with a "B". We eventually ended up with Sophia b/c it sounded good with Brynn and we knew we'd never use it for a future first name. GL!

It's dumb for me to say don't be scared, but I'd like to.
As I said above, we took 3 days to name Sofie. It was terribly excruciating. Now, the names I listed above, the boys I am so not sold on any of them. I feel like we'll be going in unprepared and with nothing I absolutely love and we'll end up settling, finding something so awesomely perfect 3 weeks later and be screwed with a terrible name and a terrible reason for why we chose it. Sorry, adding fuel to the fire here. I'm scared, too. I'm so not above stealing any one else's son's names, now. I'll resort to anything to get this kid named.
As for a girl, I feel like we have a better start in that area.
Like a PP said, for the names I feel like I loved, DH finally gets on board and then I start rethinking and feeling cornered that he likes the names I originally proposed. Whatta mess.
This naming thing sucks. I don't find it fun, I find it daunting and scary and that it's something that I should not have a hand in. Too much pressure.

DH is still dragging his feet on discussing names but he has given some input on my choices which he is okay with so the two very tentative front runners are:
Benjamin Lee K (Lee is my mom and my dad's middle name)
Wyatt Claydon K (Claydon was my mom's maiden name and no one on her side carried on the name)
Bennett Lee K
Baby K is 3 months old! Max: The original fur baby
We aren't 100% set for a girl, but right now the front runner is Kendall with the middle name undecided. We have a boy name that I refuse to use online because it's been my favorite since I was 12 and I don't want anybody I may know in real life to see it. Paisley is still in the mix for a girl as well, but as it stands right now, we are strongly leaning towards Kendall. Middle name options are Breanne, Susanne, Faith or Hope.
One vote here for Kendall -- that's my DD's name. Kendall Marie
Bennett Joseph if we have a boy (FIL MN is Jose and my grandfather's MN was Guiseppe so we thought we would use Joseph for both of them).
Still haven't narrowed down a girl name- Alexandra, Alexa, Evelyn, Katherine. I always liked Emily Blanca (Blanca was DH grandmothers name) but my sister just used Emily for her daughter. I like Alexandra or Alexa but not sure about MN Blanca with them.
Logan Joseph. Joe is my dads middle name, but Logan Joe doesn't flow for me so we lengthened it to Joseph. My dad swears my grandma was on something when she named him and would have preferred Joseph anyway, so I don't feel bad with it not being a direct connection. Lol.
As shown below, Caleb Cameron. We actually had 2 other boy names picked out (first and middle) for over 2 years and then ditched them in July. It took us a day to come up with the new name and now we love it .
I'm late .... but I'm sure everyone is very familiar with what I'm naming my baby after my husband's famous Oswald obsession. I got him off the formal Oswald.
Baby will be Ozzy Joseph G-R (hyphenated last name -- both his last names, I'd like to add! haha). We are still considering Ozzy Joseph Allen G-R. Only because Joseph was the name of his favorite uncle that just passed away in July and Allen was my mom's maiden name and she's been gone almost 10 years now. Both kind of sentimental ... but we don't know if we want to saddle our poor kid with 5 names vs. 4 names.
Colin Robert C. is our first choice but I've been pretty non-committal. It's such a big decision! We also like Thomas but that's a long shot as DH loves Colin. We'll see!
@lovelovelovelovelove MH loveees the name Arlo. He also likes Arthur and those kinds of names. He gives your choices thumbs up .
Tell him thanks! Arlo is a winner here, for sure. It was a tough call though. Our final few contestants were Hugo & Leo. I'm still humming and hawing over middle name options.. Can't seem to nail down a combination that feels just right.
Re: names update! Put the name you are thinking here!

For a boy we've given up. We've decided on Leo, Silas, and Jonas and over time changed our minds. Super sigh.
William is my dad's and grandpa's first name.
