@mofree thank you for making me feel even worse by telling me something I already know. If you had read anything more you would have seen that I regretted what I did. Additionally, I apologized and we resolved the matter verbally.
DH has to work tomorrow (for free because they eliminated over time) and I'm really mad about it. I've been feeling like a single parent lately due to his work schedule. He leaves before seven and he rarely gets home before six.
I could have written this myself. I'm joining your pity party @LindsayDesigner!
DH's schedule is dreadful right now. He leaves around 7-7:30am every morning. Mon-Wed he gets home after 9:30pm and Thur he gets home after 7:30. He gets home by 6pm on Fridays and that's a "good" day.
Tomorrow isn't technically work, it's supposed to be a family picnic put on by his work. But since he's a supervisor he has to help set up. AND it's during J's one nap, so we can't even go and hang out with him at what is supposed to be a family picnic. They want him there from 10:00-3:00. I'm trying not to think about it, because it makes me mad!
I try not to say I feel like a single mom out loud to anyone, because I know it's not the same thing and I wouldn't want to accidentally upset an actual single mom. BUT FOR REAL. I think it in my head all the days.
MH worked 24 hours Monday, didn't get home from school until 9 Tuesday, worked 24 Wednesday, school again yesterday and now is working 24 again. So basically I've seen him go to bed and wake up two days this week. Ugh.
B's innie belly button already has that perma-dirt look because her pot belly makes it hard to clean and it might have been skipped too many bath times. I do swipe it every time now but that dark crease is really deep and DH freaks when I try to go after it because his is really sensitive and he thinks if it's torture for him it is for her. I only cleaned mine out when it popped in pregnancy so I guess I'm saying we don't clean our belly buttons over here!
Get in there with a baby wipe at a diaper change every once in a while.
I reread that and it looks like a bitchy response. I didn't mean it in a bitchy way, just that's how we do it here. I like baby wipes for almost everything. They're magical things.
I didn't take it as bitchy, no worries! I just didn't "love it" 'cause I was busy. Funny thing, I also second guessed a response I started but did not post elsewhere because I'm afraid my sarcasm reads bitchy (am I too new for sarcasm here? I promise I'm not a meanie, just a tease). I appreciate the tone of this board usually and didn't want to ruin it like I ruined my LOs belly button.
I hadn't started supper yet, when the kids got off of the bus half an hour ago. I asked Summer and Leah what they wanted for supper. They said McDonald's. I said no fast food. We are having TGI Fridays. It goes with my first of having no energy today!! We are about to head out.
My husband swears up and down that basil makes him deathly sick because he had horrible indigestion TEN years ago from some lasagna I had made that happened to have basil in it. He refuses to eat anything that has basil in it. Last night for dinner we had raviolis stuffed with roasted veggies and basil and he ate the shit out of them. I did not tell him about the basil. 15 hours later, he's still fine.
My husband says the same thing about Gummi-Vites. Regular vitamins are fine, but apparently not the gummy kind. And yet he still managed to polish off the entire bag of Gummy Bears I bought for myself.
My FFFC-Kate has been refusing naps for the past few weeks, and I have come to like it. She goes to bed at 7:30 now and sleeps for 13 hours straight. I don't have to plan my life around naps anymore. Today, she fell asleep on the way home from dinner at 6:30, and I was afraid it would mess up the good thing we have going so I gently woke her up when we got home, even though she seemed out for the night, and proceeded to give her a bath so she would wake up. Then I bribed her into staying awake with a new Little People toy I bought her. She fell asleep at 8. I am hoping she sleeps late tomorrow because it's Saturday. Also, I "borrowed" two more cigarettes from my MIL and I am smoking one now, and having a beer outside since it' s one of the last warm evenings we'll have.
90% of the time I am too lazy to cut up DD's food... So I use my teeth.
I must have missed something cuz I don't know who you are but I nearly shit myself when I saw your avatar... Because my MALE coworker has a similar one for his FB pic.
Your male coworker has impeccable taste in television then
