I'm back, Jack.

Looks like I only got to be pregnant for a week. We kind of knew from the beginning something didn't seem right about this cycle and we were shocked to see a BFP. Guess it's appropriate we never really celebrated, and we're glad it ended sooner than later. I just wish someone had told me how painful the process would be. Thanks OB nurse for saying it was "just a CP"... But no, it's nothing "like a regular period".

I kinda missed this board while staring at the choas of the 1st Tri board anyway

Hoping you'll have me back.

First question: Does the day I started bleeding count as CD1?

Second question: After the pain and "period", OB said we could try this cycle, but will things be like my other cycles? (for those who've had CP).

So sorry for your loss. You probably saw my post on the other CP thread, but for me the start of bleeding was CD1 (because I didn't know anything was different anyway) and O happened maybe 5-6 days later than normal. Next cycle after that was normal.

Hi @squintee, yes I did. Thanks for the info. Looks like a lot of bad news going around today. Guess it's better it be on a saturday when most people will miss it. I hate bumming people out... I just didn't want to show up on TTGP again without explaining.

I'm so sorry, Amber. I'm having pretty bad cramping, but no spotting or flow yet. I just want it to start soon so that we can start over. DH said I'm no longer allowed to take an HPT without his permission :P I definitely won't be as anxious to test early next cycle.

No, No, No!!! I'm soooo sorry amberhoothoot. I'm right there with you. I finally started bleeding yesterday evening and cramping pretty bad. Today it's heavy bleeding. FF counted yesterday as cd1 so that's what I'm going with.

My question is can you use tampons? I have a dr appt tues. I was way to upset yesterday to call and go to the dr by myself so I'm just going to wait to talk to my dr tues.

I never introduced myself on any of the other boards because I was scared to, but I did lurk. Was it not like Jerry Springer on 1st trimester?

Yes, first day is cd1, and I'm sure everyone us different, but my cycles have been 3-4 days longer in the 3 since my cp.

do something nice for yourself this weekend. It sucks. And it is ok to be sad. And I kind off think nurse is an idiot.

I counted my first day of bleeding from my CP as CD1. It was normal, but CP also happened the day after a + test.

I'm so sorry. I went through a really early m/c, and agree with PP. First day of real bleeding is CD1 and my cycles synced back up pretty well. My first cycle was maybe 3 or so days over my average, but I'm back to normal. I agree with the do something nice for yourself advice.

@Pintobean39 I was told not to use tampons because of risk on infection. I just got a pack of pads. Also, for me, I was bleeding pretty heavily, so tampons probably would have been more of a pain than they would have been worth.

Yeah DH and I agreed... no more early HPT. The physical pain would have still been there but maybe the emotional wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't found out 9DPO.

OB office said no tampons and with this cramping I cannot imagine putting something in there. They told me to call them when the bleeding stops completely (whether that be 1 day or 5) for further instructions. Sweet hubby bought me the super jumbo pads. Can't wait to uncurl from this ball and hang out with DS.

You're right. Those other boards had some sweet girls but the redundant posting was crazy!

I am so so sorry. It's not JUST a CP you were pg and it huts to loos it. I am in my first cycle post cp and it's been wonky. I was still testing positive at CD15, I passed what I'm pretty sure was what tissue had formed. The next day tons of EWCM and I'm gearing up to O any day now. We'll see what happens. I'm so sorry again.

I'm so sorry for you loss. I hear what you are saying but I think even if someone told you beforehand how painful the process would be, it wouldn't make it any easier to cope with. It's hard and it sucks. I'm also sorry that the nurse was so insensitive. Sometimes people are just idiots.

As for your questions, I personally counted the first day of flow as CD1 for all 3 of my losses.
And I think everyone's body heals differently and only time will tell if or how your next cycle will be affected. My last loss was a chemical pregnancy and we began to try again immediately.

My Dr. did another blood test to make sure my hcg was back to normal (zero).
