I am so so sorry.  It's not JUST a CP you were pg and it huts to loos it.  I am in my first cycle post cp and it's been wonky.  I was still testing positive at CD15, I passed what I'm pretty sure was what tissue had formed.  The next day tons of EWCM and I'm gearing up to O any day now.  We'll see what happens.  I'm so sorry again.

I guess this does bring up another question. Should I keep testing to make sure the HCG is gone? I don't want to be confused when I test next end of this cycle.
My Dr. did another blood test to make sure my hcg was back to normal (zero).

Did they take the test at the end, like CD5 ish? My OB office didn't offer but I'm thinking I'll take some cheapie hpts when this is over to check.

I'm so sorry :(.  I know how you feel!

I had a chemical pregnancy last December.  It was an awful feeling.

  • So sorry for your loss.
  • Just jumping in here even though there are three pages.

I just had a CP a few weeks ago.  I tested 5 days after the bleeding started and got a bfn.  OB said if it was a bfp a week later that they would want me to come back in.  I never got a true positive OPK this cycle, but I have a feeling I O'd later than normal.  The closest to a surge looked to be on CD 24 whereas I usually O'd at CD16.  From CD 22-25 I had sore breasts but that's since gone away.  These darn CP's mess with you a bit because you're  not sure what to expect in the upcoming weeks.

Today is CD28 and no sign of AF and no symptoms either.

First question: Does the day I started bleeding count as CD1?
Second question: After the pain and "period", OB said we could try this cycle, but will things be like my other cycles? (for those who've had CP).
I'm so sorry for your loss. Doctors and nurses can be so cruel, I know. I counted the day I started bleeding as CD1. I had had some spotting before my M/C so I just put that as spotting in FF and when I had a flow, CD1. My doctor told us to wait 1 cycle to try again. Every doctor tells you something different. The reasoning my doctor gave is to allow time for the uterus to heal and build up its lining again to support implantation again.

ETA: My cycle after M/C was semi-normal. It was long but my previous cycles had also been long. I did O later than some of my other cycles. You may or may not O at all. I had crazy EWCM almost the entire cycle. Even now I'm still getting EWCM and my period after my M/C just ended 3 days ago.
  • I'm so, so sorry :(
