If the older kid hits the younger kid and you don't see it, do you still discipline the older kid?
This has happened a few times and I usually just give G a warning. Because I didn't actually see it, I'm not 100% certain thats what happened. When I ask G, obviously he'll say he didn't do anything. Now, I'm starting to think that G understands if he can hit B on the sly, he won't get in trouble.
if i dont see it, but im sure he did it, he gets a "break". aka time out. but he always admits it
Same. I usually say something like "things are getting too crazy, guess we're done with [insert activity or toy here]". If I know he did something mean on purpose he gets a break too.

Ditto. Also it takes a lot to get J really upset sooooo if he's crying then A almost always has done "something" whether its hitting/pushing or taking a toy away. Only warnings A gets is if I see him about to push or hit etc otherwise he does time out, even if it doesn't make the baby cry.
