    No, no, no, I wouldn't say that people shouldn't be considered famous because they were famous before I was born. I mean, hello, The Beatles.
    I guess I went too specific with the artists I mentioned. I wasn't trying to go just classic rock - I still hear Madonna and Michael Jackson on the radio. Actually, all the pictures of Prince on my wall, some of them remind me of MJ.
    I guess I didn't realize exactly how important Prince was to your.. not generation exactly but maybe your guys' teen/youngish adult decade.
    I don't know that there is necessarily anyone in my generation of music that is going to be considered as important or all-reaching as you guys consider Prince.

    I know who The Who are. I just wasn't too familiar with The Guess Who. I've heard some of their music though.

    Queen is good, @MollusksWrangler. I have a weird fondness for Freddie Mercury since I watched a bunch of documentaries on him one day with my dad.
    Oops. Sookie said something. Her taste is phenomenal fact not opinion? Something. She's very persuasive.
    I feel like perhaps When Doves Cry was not the right one to start with. Keeping in mind that I found it chaotic and therefore did not enjoy, what would you recommend?

    Well, I did mention GW and Beatles.
    Uhmmm. Hmm. I like lots of things. I like classic rock. I like country. I like most of Gaga's stuff, since she was mentioned. I like Blurred Lines :P I like rap and hiphop. Usher is a personal fave.
    I like lots of different music as long as I can either sing or dance to it.
    Some of the 60's surfer stuff I don't like. I don't like screamo or angsty angry hard metal bands really.
