Thank you DH and I love Austin. He went to UT, so we have a lot of fond memories of the area. My in-laws now live there so we go back at least once a year.

I love Austin too. I went to middle school and high school there. My dad is the only one that still lives there. We love going there and I would move back in a heartbeat, if I could. It is so much better than Houston, lol.

Our wedding was at the Pen Ryn Mansion, Bensalem, PA. It's an estate on the Delaware River, just north of Philadelphia, with a restored mansion from the 1700's. On Feb 15 of this year, we were fully prepared for the blizzard that was being forecast. Luckily, it blew north of us and it ended up being 60 degrees. 2 hours before the ceremony was set to start, my husband asked if we could have it outside and the venue agreed.

So for my photos, I have a night shot at the end, the look on my husband's face as he realized he was dropping a piece of cake down my dress (caught it between my boobs!), our first dance (we have this picture in our living room), the guys being silly in the library wing (part of the cocktail hour area), the photo we used for our thank you cards (I left the 3 people in the background of that picture because it was my neighbors and they thought it was hilarious), and the last picture is from behind our ceremony to give you an idea of the Mansion.

Okay, I'm going to AW out for a few... i LOVE my wedding photos, but absolutely hated my hair. Used my best friend's sister-in-law as a favour, and truly believe I could have done a better job myself!

The picture below is during my dad's father of the bride speech talking about my mom.. and it was really the first time he's talked openly about her since she died 14 years ago! This pic still makes me cry!

I would chose Austin over Houston in a heartbeat too

. We lived in Houston for a couple years until DH's company moved us. We will end up in Houston again someday since it is the headquarters for DH's company.

Apparently my work IP has been banned for violating tinypic's term's of usage??? So I have to attach so they will be small.

Our day was absolutely perfect. We held our wedding on his grandparents' farm, which they were married for 67 years that year and the farm has been in their family for a century!

The one with DS and I. We were talking right before he walked me down the aisle. He twirled like a ballerina the entire way. Yes, he is holding a flask {they were groomsmen presents, and he received one, too}. The last picture is soooo us.

Oooh. Cute thread!! DH does not allow me to post pictures of him to internet strangers so all the best ones are off limits! But here is the important stuff: the dress, the amazing venue overlooking Manhattan (also had a huge terrace where we had cocktails), the moment before the walk down the isle and the crazy dancing by young and old at 1am.

@ccip82 - yes we got married in the UK. DH's gran turned 100 8 days before our wedding so we went there to celebrate her big day and then had ours a week later.

If we had it here, most of his family wouldn't have been able to make it (they care for his gran) and most of his and my friends were buying houses, getting married, having babies so they wouldn't have been able to make it either.

I love the British weddings, a bit more extravagant than most. Here's a pic of the Mom's all dolled up with their fascinators on!

One thing I miss about the UK is the ability to take a random day, get dolled up and go watch polo, horse racing or whatever..... Here's me at Ascot in a new hat (P.s. ever time I went into John Lewis, I tried on hats!)

There is nothing wrong with being formal I love that aspect of British culture. When DH and I go out to dinner now, I almost always wear a dress. To me, it feels very feminine and I enjoy having the opportunity to dress up a bit more than what I am used too.
