Max is doing well. Since he came out early, he had some trouble with his glucose levels almost immediately and has been ion the ICU on an IV with a glucose drip. He has been in for two nights now, and last night the weened him off, yay! Now he just has to maintain some good numbers today and we may get to go home!
My milk hasn't come in and colostrum is scarce, but I guess that is normal for an early birth. I keep dry pumping and doing skin to skin, and trying to encourage the milk. In the meantime, the hospital provides donated breast milk for FREE! It's such an amazing option and I am so thankful for those mothers.
