LineGirl inspired a new confession from me in the GTKY post.
After going through IVF, whenever I see twins I automatically assume they were conceived via IVF. I know that's completely ridiculous and I even have a good friend who JUST had twins last month that were conceived naturally. I just totally forget it's a thing!
You're not the only one! I'm sure people assume we did because H is older when I'm the one with issues. They give us all sorts of questions that circumvent the direct "Did you have help?"
I think asking someone if they had help is the rudest and most insensitive thing I have ever heard. Someone asked me the same thing when I was pregnant. It put me off that person completely.
ETA: it's natural to think it but it's another thing to have someone you barely know ask.
I would never ask someone how they conceived. I just read about a local couple that have two young boys and are now pregnant with triplets (all boys.) The article said they were not using fertility treatments and the triplets occurred naturally. It's rare, but it happens. I'm sure they will get asked a lot if they were conceived "with help."
This morning in my FB feed a girl I went to high school with posted something about going to get her nails done with her 5 year old daughter.
It really pissed me off because she just got out from her second stint in jail and rehab. She doesn't have a job wtf, how do you have money for you and your daughter to get your nails done? DH has two good paying full time jobs and I work part-time and I rarely splurge on getting my nails done. This angers me.
ETA: this probably isn't quite FFFC worthy but it pissed me off and I had to whine

I get riled up about this too. My brother and his wife are like this. They will never pay off all their debts, ever, in their lifetimes. And their debts are all credit cards and cars. They've never owned their own home and neither one went to college, so they don't have student loans. I think with them, and a lot of people, they are so far in debt and can't see the end of it, so they say eff it and keep spending. He can't pay our parents back a large sum they loaned, and he's never paid me back over the years for random things, but they can be at every concert and sporting event in town. It's so annoying.

I do too, if they're fraternals. Not so much with IDs, although the probability of IDs is also higher with IVF.

There is a couple where I live that has one 4 yr old, then had identical triplets naturally and is now pregnant with natural identical triplets AGAIN!...she said she gets asked all the time whether or not they were natural; and she tells them to mind their own d*mn business.
As a twin mom, I'd also never ask!! There's a woman who just intro'd herself on the multiples board who I'm pretty sure she said she's pg with spontaneous triplets.
Perhaps my FFFC is that although I love my twins to PIECES, I am SO GLAD I don't have triplets!

There is a family at my school that has Quads, naturally AND they were oopsie babies!!!! They were completely finished having kids and their kids were grown and then OOPS Quads!!!! Can you imagine?!?!
I'm having a drink with my ex boyfriend (from high school) on Monday and I asked DH to watch LO so I can go, but didn't tell him who I am having a drink with. I'll tell him the night of but I wanted him to agree to watch LO and I wasn't sure if he would if he knew it was to catch up with an ex.
Unless your ex has had a sex change or is now a eunuch ABORT MISSION. You are playing with FIRE.

You're playing with fire on this one.
I agree.
I guess it all depends on whether your H is fine with this. Mine probably would be fine but I definitely wouldn't.
H won't mind me going, he's fine with us being friends....it is after all My high school boyfriend who is married with lids of his own. however if I told H ahead of time who I was going out with he'd definitely give me grief about it all week. So I'll tell him on Monday. Also I should mention H and his ex wife go out at least a couple times a year together. So I'm pretty sure he won't care. But yes I probably should have said something when I made the plans.
I get really sad for people who don't enjoy sex. I think it's such an important part of marriage/relationships and I know what it's like to be in a sexless marriage, it sucks.
@Lax, are you going to tell him after the fact? And why on earth would you meet an ex without your husband being present? You know I like you, but I really don't like this.
Hey flame free!!! We're mainly meeting up to complain about our kids. Unfortunately H can't come because someone has to stay home with said kid. My ex's wife might come if they get a babysitter. I love her and woul probably actually prefer to go out with her lol. And of course I will tell H, he'll ask when I am getting ready who I'm going out with and I'll tell him. I just don't want to tell him now because he will spend the week cracking jokes about how I run off to hang out with my ex while he stays home and cares for our child. We have a very trusting relationship because H knows he's my world.... Oh and the baby, right right I love the baby too.

I wouldn't say our marriage is sexless or that it's not enjoyable, just not hot and bothered, fantasize about him, throw me on the bed and pin me down, passionate love-making. I've had ex boyfriends in the past where the sex was amazing but they just weren't the man that DH is, and I'd take having my best friend by my side for the rest of my life over a less compatible man and a great sex life any day of the week.
I have a TOTALLY lame G-rated confession - so really not worthy of FFFC, but good for a laugh. I bought a Rock A Bye Baby Aerosmith CD, and listen to it when LO is not in the car. It rocks.

I totally missed this post and it made me laugh out loud to read it, since everyone is so against it I will probably cancel. I dont think it will be a problem but then if all o you think you'd be pissed maybe H would be too and just has never said anything. I don't absolutely need to go.

We have Disney cd's with songs from the movies and I listen to that all the time when I'm in the car alone. I love rocking out to Cinderella and The Little Mermaid. I even recently bought Mulan because I really liked one of the songs on there.
I love our disney cd. DD1 gets so mad when i sing them really loud, so when she's not in the car i belt all of the songs. My favorite is "part of your world" from little mermaid :-D

Is it "I'll Make a Man Out of You"? I frequently belt that song out during housework haha
When we toured the DC center yesterday and the director asked if she does well on a bottle I said yes. In reality she only takes one after about an hour of screaming at it. Hope thy doesn't come back to bite me in the butt

Makes more sense now. I don't get jealous at all with DH except when it comes to one ex girlfriend. Then I get STABBY.
If someone has a sticker of a certain state politician on their car, I won't let them get over into my lane. You're voting for a guy who pushes anti-woman and anti-gay legislation? You can wait.
Just because someone votes for an elected official does not necessarily mean they agree with all of their views/platforms. There has yet to be one public official that aligns with me on all values. Unfortunately the dual party system forces us to vote against the person we like the least, not necessarily for the person we like. It always seems like a lesser of two evils battle to me.
Perhaps but I think its safe to say if someone has the bumper sticker on their car they probably feel pretty strongly about that candidate.
OR they feel that strongly against the other candidate lol.
My related FFFC - I support gay marriage, a woman's right to choose, and am a member of the NRA. I always vote for who I deem the lesser of two evils....

I don't brush my hair every day. At always in the same bun/ponytail every single day. I take a shower and Somedays just throw it up and never brush it. When I so get around to brushing it, it takes me like an hour to get through the tangles.
This. Every day. I also haven't worn makeup more than twice since I've been pregnant. I just don't like the way it makes my face feel!
I also love to re-gift. I like to send off for the stuff on the back of cereal boxes and gift that as well.
Maybe I would feel differently if my baby actually took a bottle, but here goes. I totally side-eye my stepsister for always putting her 6 month old in a swing or even just flat on the floor with a bottle shoved in his mouth, propped up with a blanket. I don't know how she is when she's alone with him, but whenever I see them, that's the only way he gets fed. I feel so bad for him. I totally judge her as a parent for doing this.
Actually, I wouldn't feel differently if my baby took a bottle. I would still hold her while she ate. That's just called taking care of your baby.
I told my H in my wedding night that if the sex wasn't good, it was grounds for divorce/annulment.
I've also told him that if erectile dysfunction ever happens to him he's gonna needsome medicine or something.
I didn't wait to be dissatisfied.
Does that make me terrible?
LOL I have jokingly said the same things... I also admitted to DH I was scared the first time we had sex that his penis would be small, and I would have to break up with him.
I laughed entirely too loud at this post. I don't think I said it but I definitely thought it... Thank God for big sticks lol. EDIT: Dicks...oops

Another confession, I absolutely LOVE the word "sposies". Even though it's not a word, technically.
Then we cancel each other out. I put on the CD board UO a while back that that word makes me cringe. I hate it!
LOL maybe it's actually a UO. I remember someone confessing that they hated it way back in early pregnancy days. Someone even got flamed for using the term.

Oh, that's when you lay down with your baby, but face them outwards so they can't see you or interact with you, and then have a doughnut shaped pillow hold the bottle for you. It's like "snuggling", but without all the work involved.
My FFFC is that I have zero desire to leave my Mom's house. I've been here for a week, and with her taking such good care of me, I feel like I'm taking better care of G. 4 more days and vacation is over, and I don't want to go home!
FFFC #2, stemming from that. I practically begged my husband to start planning for retirement from the Navy this week, even though I know he wants to stay in another 12 years. Wife of the year right here.
FFFC #3. I am terrified of being alone for another extended period of time, and will probably fly my Mom out again next time H goes out to sea for more than a few days. We're going to go broke buying plane tickets.

None of my business of course, but my two cents is to fly your mom in (or fly to her) as much as you can afford to. Sorry to be morbid, but when she's gone you will never look back and say "I shouldn't have spent that money", but you may have regrets if you feel like there's more time you could've spent together but didn't.
I say this because my mom is very sick. I'm always worrying that each holiday that passes is our last with her and I try to have her spend as much time with LO as possible before it's too late.
