A couple years ago a friend of ours' baby needed a pressure helmet. When I got pregnant and started reading about that I was very judgy and assumed that they just "left their baby in the swing and car seat all day long." Now that LO has a flat spot I realize how bitchy that was. The Mommy Wars suck. Though I still find myself being Judgy McJudgerson sometimes. [-(

I don't care much about football. Hockey is faster-paced and much more fun to watch.
    Flame away, football fans. :)

I agree 100 percent. I could do without football but love my hockey!!!!

    Edited to add two words

    this was also mine today.
Granny panties - I love them. DH used to comment but I kept telling him I needed the higher cut to avoid my c-section incision. I could toss all my cute little VS undies and I'd be totally okay with that!

H's bday was on Tuesday and I completely forgot to get him a present so I blamed it on LO. I said she was too much of a handful all weekend for me to leave the house.

Maybe I would feel differently if my baby actually took a bottle, but here goes.
I totally side-eye my stepsister for always putting her 6 month old in a swing or even just flat on the floor with a bottle shoved in his mouth, propped up with a blanket. I don't know how she is when she's alone with him, but whenever I see them, that's the only way he gets fed. I feel so bad for him. I totally judge her as a parent for doing this.

Actually, I wouldn't feel differently if my baby took a bottle. I would still hold her while she ate. That's just called taking care of your baby.

If someone has a sticker of a certain state politician on their car, I won't let them get over into my lane. You're voting for a guy who pushes anti-woman and anti-gay legislation? You can wait.
Just because someone votes for an elected official does not necessarily mean they agree with all of their views/platforms.  There has yet to be one public official that aligns with me on all values.  Unfortunately the dual party system forces us to vote against the person we like the least, not necessarily for the person we like.  It always seems like a lesser of two evils battle to me.

Hahahah my H totally does this too! I think it is justified ;)

Around here a ton of people drive a Prius and this happens to them all the time - Prius drivers are labeled "smug" so people never want to let them in. I think it's hilarious even though I would totally drive a Prius.

Ever see the South Park episode with the cloud of smug?

Perhaps but I think its safe to say if someone has the bumper sticker on their car they probably feel pretty strongly about that candidate.

Yeeeah, this guy is currently trying to criminalize oral sex. I don't give a fluck if somebody voted for Romney or Obama or any other seemingly rational politician.

Beaubecca, I saw a Prius guy drop a piece of trash out of his car window the other day. Guess he is not that green.

Yeah if they're willing to put a bumper sticker on their car supporting that person, they align with more than one viewpoint... I'm a huge fan of Obama and I still don't have his sticker on my car. When it's a lesser or two evils situation, you don't plaster your car with their sticker.

My FFFC- it was open house last night and hubby had to pick up J from the babysitter (I didn't get to see my baby until 8!!!)... I had more faith in the babysitter taking care of J (when she has a baby only two weeks older so it's like twins for her during the day) than I did in my husband.

MH changes his clothes twice a day if not more if he plays tennis and there's his dog walking clothes!

I'm so sick of all the washing that rather than wash his jeans again I've been folding and putting them back in his wardrobe.

He's a clean freak so he would be horrified if he knew.

OMG. This is so my husband! He will take like 3 showers a day! He goes through underwear like you wouldn't believe.

It's ridiculous isn't it. He's the only person I know that has a bath then gets out to have a shower as well.

@nonnidee that's what he says. I suppose it does make sense but he really does take it to the extreme You would have to see the man in action. I can have him in the shower quicker than you can say Jack Robinson just by saying he has muck under his nails.

Yes I understand with the bubbles. If I take LO in the bath with me I shower first so I guess subconsciously I must have the ick factor too.

I do this. You have to wash the ick off from soaking in your own dirt.

This is why I don't take baths!

I'm kind of ashamed to admit this, and let me preface it by saying that I love my husband more than anything in the world. He is a wonderful father and treats me like a queen. He is my best friend and we are each other's perfect match in so many ways...just not sexually. We just don't have sexual chemistry. Sex isn't bad, but it's never been great. I guess it's something I'm willing to deal with in exchange for him being basically perfect in every other way.

    This is how I feel!!!

I still have guilt about getting DS circumsized. DH was for it and I was against. No going back now, but it's hard for me to get over it and I just hope he doesn't hate us someday because of it.

I take at least 2 showers a day...sometimes 3.  I can't function in the AM without one.  If DD is awake and DH has left for work, she chills in the bouncy seat.  I need to feel squeaky clean when I get in bed so I shower right before.  I'm guilty of taking a bath and then taking a shower, especially if I use bubbles!   :)

Before DD was born, people told me there would be many days that I wouldn't get to shower.  But so far, not one.  I'd rather go without sleep and food instead.

    I agree.

I guess it all depends on whether your H is fine with this. Mine probably would be fine but I definitely wouldn't.

LineGirl inspired a new confession from me in the GTKY post.

After going through IVF, whenever I see twins I automatically assume they were conceived via IVF. I know that's completely ridiculous and I even have a good friend who JUST had twins last month that were conceived naturally. I just totally forget it's a thing!
You're not the only one!  I'm sure people assume we did because H is older when I'm the one with issues.  They give us all sorts of questions that circumvent the direct "Did you have help?"

I think asking someone if they had help is the rudest and most insensitive thing I have ever heard. Someone asked me the same thing when I was pregnant. It put me off that person completely.

ETA: it's natural to think it but it's another thing to have someone you barely know ask.
