Mamas due at the end of the month!

To the women with 2 weeks to go...

How are you all doing?  I am getting so anxious reading all of these baby stories that it is getting harder each day to even concentrate at work.  Today I had a request to go on a work trip 2+ hours away that I was able to decline.  Yesssss...  I also think I may work from home a couple days from now until the due date.  Pregnancy clothes are getting tighter, shorter, and more uncomfortable.  I am so ready for this baby!!

Re: Mamas due at the end of the month!

  • I can't wait to meet this baby! 38 weeks today, been off work for 6 weeks. I'm ready, hoping baby is ready soon! I will get checked for the first time on Thursday.

  • I'm due the 28th, so I've still go a while to go as well.  As long as she doesn't come before the 14th, I'm good.  :)  I've got too much going on at work and getting last minute things done for her to come really early.  But I wouldn't mind her arriving a few days early since I have GD and will most likely be induced if she doesn't come before her due date.

I'm trying not to drive myself crazy with anything odd that my body is doing lately, because I know it probably doesn't mean anything.  Of course it doesn't help when my OB tells me at my 36w appointment "Wow, she's really low.  Feel that?  That's her head.  She's right there!"  *rolls eyes*

  • I'm not due til the 30th so still have a while! My doctor has said a bunch of very hopeful things but no progress so far! I do have an ultrasound today though so hoping to hear something good although it will probably get my hopes up! Very excited for all the September moms with outside babies though!

  • I'm due the 28th and didn't get uncomfortable until literally last Friday.

I think my commute (an hour each way) is going to be what pushes me off the edge, but I don't see the need (personally) to stop working until baby is here or I literally can't function anymore. It's going to be a long few weeks.

And I hear you on the clothes. I refuse to buy new stuff, so I'm on about a 4-5 shirt rotation and totally wore nice black yoga pants to work the other day. No shame.

  • I'm due on the 29th and am just SO happy the baby hasn't come yet!

I had ptl with my last pregnancy and ended up having her in my 37th week. I had ptl again this time in week 31 and have had false labor most days since...

Admittedly, with all the false labor discomfort I'm really over this pregnancy already! But of course baby will come when s/he is ready! Im using the weeks left to enjoy the little ones i have at home already anyway...And I'm thinking now that I'm not worried about giving birth early, I'll go to 42 weeks or something! Lol

  • My original EDD was 9/30 (by LMP), but was changed to 10/2 (by dating U/S @ 7-8 weeks, 2 whole days, whoop-dee-doo!).  I'm actually feeling pretty good.  Sore, crackling hips especially after sitting or laying down for too long that do interfere with sleep, but other than that, no real complaints.

Is it blasphemy that I'm *sort of* hoping to go a week overdue so that my 12 week leave takes me past the first of the year?  I mean, who wants to return to work between Christmas and New Years?!?!

  • Due on the 24th and I am over it! Lovely new additions this past week include: carpal tunnel, swelling, and ramped up contractions.  I'm so uncomfortable and ready to have my baby in my arms.  I am ready whenever she/he is ready. Let's go baby!
  • We're due 2 weeks from today. I work from home and have had good motivation to keep working thus far, wrapping up/turning over projects, but at this point, I'm starting to crack. Nursery is done except for an extra vacuum. Diaper bag is packed for the hospital ( just her outfits and then empty to bring stuff home). Just waiting on her to arrive sobI can stop going to 2 appointments per week!
  • I'm in my 38th week here, and really enjoying pregnancy at this point.  I'm on mat leave, though, so that definitely has a lot to do with it.  You ladies who are still working are complete rockstars.

I went shopping yesterday at H&M and played in their maternity section.  I didn't buy a thing though, because it's stupid to buy something that I can only wear for 2 weeks.  I was definitely tempted though, and tried on things that I could continue to wear afterwards.  But it felt better in my mind to say, "Instead of buying this thing now, I can buy NON-maternity clothing in a little over a month I bet!  Go REAL shopping!"

It has also definitely helped to schedule these sorts of "pampering days" (once a week) with myself.  I got my first pedicure about 3 weeks ago.  I went to the hair salon last week and got all my blonde hair chopped off and dyed a lovely medium ash brown.  I had a prenatal massage yesterday morning, and did prenatal yoga before supper yesterday.  I'm going to keep up with the once a week yoga until baby comes.  That sort of stuff is so helpful for keeping my mind calm and peaceful in these last few weeks.  I recommend it to all you mammas, especially if you're like me and have never really spent any money on yourself like that!
  • I'm not sure it's really fair for me to post since I'm due the 20th, which I guess is technically mid-month...but I'm getting more and more uncomfortable by the day. I had every intention of working until my water broke, but as it stands now, I'm just trying to get to my check at 39 weeks tomorrow! Then I'll take it from there. Hang in there ladies, we'll make it!

9/28 is my due date, and I'm hoping for an October baby! Of course, it would be great if she comes early on her own as well (and by early I mean after the 21st). I am getting super jealous of all these other moms with their adorable outside babies.

I'm not saying I'm not over being pregnant. I've been over it for a few months though so what's a few more weeks? Also, October would work really well for my work schedule since our number one daycare choice informed us this week that we can for sure get in starting January 1. So excited!!

Edit: I do have to add that I'm really over work. It's not so much being at work or my actual job... more about getting up and getting dressed/ready. I'm tired of my maternity clothes and just want to work from home in a t-shirt.

  • Due on the 23rd and have been on my maternity leave. Enjoying just being at home with nothing to do so much!!! I haven't had a a vacation this year so 4 weeks off are a real treat!! I am getting anxious for the labor and selfishly hope LO will stay in until the due date so I can delay the labor experience as much as possible. I definitely need 2 more weeks if being totally lazy!!
  • 38 today as well!! Ready to be done. I have an appointment in 2 hours and I'm pretty sure I will cry at some point to my dr. If he tells me that I've not had any cervical progress after ALL the painful contractions I've been having, I might get upset. But if he tells me there is nothing more to do for my hemmies until after delivery, I WILL get upset!!

    I'm done.

I hear ya! I'm due the 30th (my ticker says 29th). If he comes on time I have to come December 23rd! I don't think so! I'm kind of hoping he's a day or two late.

It's getting to be near impossible to find clothes that still fit comfortably. Also its been getting cooler here and I don't really have cooler weather maternity clothes. Sleep is hit or miss at this point. I'm either up all night or I sleep decently and I'm pretty sore. I've been running around like a loon this week to make last minute appointments and I keep finding things to wash and clean. DH has been nesting too so thankfully lots of things are getting done and hopefully everything will be complete in the next 3 weeks.

  • 38w4d at this point and at home with everything ready to go other than the baby being here. I'm tired of being uncomfortable, sore, and having contractions that fake me out and just so tired of people texting and calling about whether she's here or not. Like I'd be keeping it a secret or telling her to stay put. Grrrr!

As a FTM I'm sure the edd of the 20th is going to wave as it goes by, but hopefully she'll come on her own! Seeing all the babies being born make me happy for the mommies but super disappointed that my I haven't further effaced and dilated in the last week. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! Makes me feel like the end isn't ever coming!

  • My c-section is scheduled for the 27th and I'm not sure how this little dude is going to stay inside for that long. I swear he's going to punch right through the sac and stick his arm down my vagina! His movements are painful and violent and freaky. I feel him all the way up in my ribs and way down low in my cervix- all at the same time. I catch strangers looking at my alien belly in the line at the grocery store. I'm not sure I can take another 16 days of this hurt :(

  • Due the 27th and ready to get there! I've still been working full-time but am going to talk to my doctor this afternoon about going to half days. I know I'll be a lot more productive at home and at work if I'm feeling better rested.
  • I've been working so hard, but I agree that I'm capable of much less than before! There are just a few things I really need to get done before my baby comes (due 9/22, so I'm more than 38 weeks now). My clothes are getting SUPER tight because I've gained way too much weight this time around! My butt and thighs are enormous. My belly is, too, but that's not where the problem is...oops.

  • I'm due on the 26th and just hit the getting uncomfortable stage.  Unfortunately I still have a LOT to do, so I am at work until I pop and working at home like crazy trying to organize our chaotic house into something that resembles a home.  Renos are almost done in the lower level and my nursery is cleaned and I started to assemble it, which makes me feel better.

Baby is down low in the chute, but I've had no checks. Went for a boat ride on Sunday and it was super bumpy.  I thought baby was going to come out hitting a wave.  lol.

  • Due the 30th so I still have a while to go and theres always the chance that she will be late. Ive just been hanging out mostly trying to get things ready for her. But I am totallu counting down the days until her due date and all the mamas with outside babies do not make it easy to ne patient.. being due at the end of the month sucks lol

  • Due the 28th. Doc said today hope to see you before my next appt. I wish. Sick of gaining weight!
  • Due the 25th, so two weeks left tomorrow! I'm really hoping she gets here Friday/Saturday. My mom is going out of town on Friday and I joked that I'll end up going in labor while she's on the plane so she'll end up having to wait for the news (she doesn't live nearby so she wasn't going to be here for the birth anyway, so for me it doesn't matter if she's 700 miles away or 1200). My husband is supposed to go out of town Saturday though, so that's the only reservation I have. He'd just have to cancel is something started.

I've had a lot BH though, and sometimes it gets uncomfortable. Her movements will cause pain sometimes, but nothing that lasts for more than a couple seconds. I haven't had any checks, and I'm not sure if I will since I see midwives. My next appointment is Friday. I hope I get checked, even though I know it doesn't mean anything. I'm just curious if there's any progress at all from all the BH. Her head is also really low. The midwife couldn't really find it by feeling my belly. Had to have a quick 5 second u/s to confirm just for sure that the lump at top was the butt.

I really hope LO gets here before October though! We have a wedding Oct 13th and the sooner she gets here the more likely I'll be able to go. Otherwise, dh will be out of town for a weekend without me and LO (but my mom will be by then here at least).

I feel way better than i expected to feel at this point (38wk today/EDD 9/24).  If i'm really active, though, i get a lot of uncomfortable bh ctx and start to feel the bowling-ball-crotch feeling.  I'm walking differently now, and i'm s-l-o-w.  I have had CTS for a while (worst symptom the whole time), which makes it hard to grip things (numbness and weakness in fingers), so it's both tragic and comedic when i pick up something small, drop it b/c i can't hold it, then have to slowly and awkwardly squat to pick it up.
Forecast is in the mid-high 80s this week (very little AC in the PNW), so i'm not super excited about that...
I'm not feeling ready for the pregnancy to be over (we only plan to do this once, and i've kind of loved it), so i'm not rushing it.

  • I'm due on the 27th.

I'm first trimester exhausted, I hurt, and am generally over it. I keep telling myself that I won't be pregnant forever, but it feels like such a long time away. And it's not helping that my mom and MIL are convinced that I won't make it until my EDD and keep telling me so.

  • I'm due 9/24. I'm pretty uncomfortable, my maternity clothes are getting too tight, but I am not buying more this late in the game, so people are just going to have to deal with seeing me wear too-tight clothes for a couple more weeks.

I'm not gonna lie, I am ready to not be pregnabt anymore, but I know she will come when she's ready. The most annoying thing is that I have horrid, irregular contractions most nights now.
  • I'm 37 weeks as of yesterday, due on the 30th. I'm getting antsy, nervous, excited, terrified lol. I've been out of work for about a week and a half. I'm a nurse and the stressful environment was shooting my BP up to levels my OB wasn't happy with so being at home has been great. I'm much more relaxed and I've had more energy to get last minute things done. I can't wait to meet my little girl. Seeing all these babies born on the board makes me even more eager to see her and hold her. I really hope I don't go overdue because since I'm already out of work, it would really cut down on the amount of time I get to spend with my baby so hopefully she'll come before October. DH said he hopes she born in October so they can share a birthday month. Um, no lol.
  • Hey hey- I'm next to last in terms of EDD (9/29) so I am just watching all the stories and excitement.  I have my 37 week appointment tomorrow so I'll see if anything is happening.

Hoping he stays in until after the 21st and then bring it on. I am reaching high IDGAF mental state with work, too.

  • Due the 25th here. May have to be induced due to HBP and GD, but really hoping and wishing that labor will just happen on its own naturally before then. I got my first check yesterday and had no dilation or effacement at all so that has really ramped up my anxiety about the whole process today. Yes, I know checks don't mean anything really, but still.

  • I'm due on the 20th and I'm soo ready. I can't sleep at night, and lets not talk about the clothes that no longer fits me. I guess I shouldn't complain since my pregnancy was very healthy but lately I'm just so snarky and emotional. Reading everyone's post about their babies makes me feel like ill be the last pregnant lady on this board lol....I'm just anxious now and ready to leave work.
  • I'm due Sept. 21 so less than 2 weeks.  I also have GD so they told me that I'm not allowed to go much past my due date so an induction has been brought up.  I'm going to do everything in my power to get this labor started on it's own, because I'd love to go naturally and that seems to be much more difficult with pitocin involved.  Last doctor appointment I was a little more than fingertip dilated and cervix was soft.  Hoping for some progress when I head to the doctor tomorrow.

I've had a pretty easy pregnancy thus far and went through an extremely uncomfortable phase around 36/37 weeks.  I'm feeling okay again though and just getting anxious to meet her more than anything.  Planning on working up until she gets here but I'm regretting that decision.  It's taking more of an emotional/stressful toll on me than anything else.  We're ready for her at home, but my dad is traveling this week for work so I'd really love for her to stay put until after Thursday (also my husband's birthday).  After that it's all fair game!
  • Due the 27th but I'm lucky- still feeling quite comfortable and content with being pregnant at almost 38 weeks. No contractions, I'm not really in any pain. I'm emotionally ready, though! Can't wait to meet my baby!

  • I'm due the 29th, but have been convinced my whole pregnancy that this little girl would come early (even tho I know most FTM do go late) and I kept saying it was a mothers instinct, but still waiting and scared that I may be waiting for several more weeks!! :( I just want to hold my little bubs and have cuddles (and stop the heartburn, uncomfort and be able to sleep on my back!)
  • I am due the 21st. The waiting is making me insane. Dr checked me today, I am 2.5 centimeters and had some bloody show today with lots of cramping, like period cramps. Its probobly just from getting checked so I am not getting too excited about it. I love seeing all the babies on here and reading the birth stories.

I feel like we could be bookends. Due the same day, GD too, very similar issues, but opposite in some ways. Slightly more dilated, but cervix is thick. Planning to work until labor kicks in, but felt like I was done today... Stressful trying to wrap everything up. MIL, who I adore, is flying in next week, and DD1 and DS3 have their birthdays around EDD, so I'd like LO to come earlier rather than later. But my cousin is getting married this weekend, so either Thursday or not until next week. Knowing that I feel that way, baby will either arrive over the weekend or on DD1's b-day.
